IIRC King Alistair's dialogue suggests the Warden would still be around in 9:37.  He talks about meeting them in Denerim soon.

Yeah, I pointed that out before. They might have been searching around then, but Teagan makes it clear they haven't disappeared yet.

Kinda clashes with one of my other headcanons though, that Merrill did actually see Mahariel in Lowtown when she mentions it, because she was actually there with Leliana. Hmm...maybe she stopped in Kirkwall on her way back to Ferelden...

I don't see how that would necessarily conflict with your headcanon, as I imagine the acts in DA2 happens at the very least over the course of a couple of months. :) Some people even suggested every act lasted for a year as I recall.

I'm pretty sure that's only in the non-romanced version of her dialogue. In the romanced version she just says that they are 'dear to her heart,' no mention of any time frame.
I've thought similar to this before, that Morrigan's book was what started the hunt. I doubt BioWare had this whole thing planned during Witch Hunt though, so I still have no idea what that book was really intended to be...
Her dialogue in DAI still made it sound like they saw each other often during her Left Hand business, to me. And she said they were 'happier than you could imagine' in the years after the Blight, which I assume means all the time before she became Left Hand, so I think their seperations during DLC were just very brief weeks of Leliana being somewhere else, like she was in Awakening.

I'd need to go back and check my saves, but I've only ever had her romanced and played DA2 with imports, and I could have sworn she said both. Could be wrong of course. :)

Yeah I assumed they had brief spells apart before the Warden disappeared off searching in earnest. There's no reason they couldn't have continued in that vein after Leliana was appointed Left Hand. My headcanon is that the Warden was sad and frustrated by all the time they were forced to spend apart and decided she needed to sort out this calling business pronto. :(

True enough, though I can't see them taking place over a year. Maybe a month or two, if you do DLCs that have you travelling far out of the area.

I just checked a moment ago, a romance import only has the 'dear to my heart' line, no mention of being apart for years. That scene was pretty notoriously bugged at one point when it comes to the romance being recognised, you may have been hit with that.

Ahh, good to know. Thanks! Headcanon improved, yaaaay! :D It did sound a bit daft tbh. Hmm, so she could have stuck around up until around 9:38 or so on that case, realistically. All of the romantic adventures! *dreamy sigh*

I like this idea. In her brief cameos in DA2 she seems pretty much the same "giggles and shoes" Leliana we knew in DAO. Maybe she was hiding her growing personal crisis, but it's more justified for a romanced Leli, if her lover is still around and keeps her sane. Then bang! Justinia dies and her lover is too much far away and her whole world crushes.

And it also fuels my imagination with stories of the HoF helping Leli with her secret agent thingies.
- Leliana, my love, this is the fourth murder attempt this week. You are into something big this time. Do you want a helping hand?
- Fifth one. Didn't want to wake you up last night. The assasin was as clumsy and ugly as your old boots. If you want to help... Are you in the mood for infiltrating a deadly fortress, figthing Orlesian nobles and a wild chase on horseback?
- Again?

I like to headcanon my Warden was actually invited to Duke Prosper's party in Mark of the Assassin, and was going to go with Leliana but got sidetracked and Teagan went instead.

I imagine getting sidetracked would just be an excuse though, she's a bit antisocial and probably couldn't stomach Leliana dragging her off to too many parties as pompous as that.  :P

Same here. She may be nobility, but she's Fereldan nobility - none of that poncy Orlesian nonsense!

"Erm, there's, er, a crisis at Vigil's Keep! Oghren got drunk and did something and, er, disaster. Sorry darling... Let's go look for some lovely new shoes first though?" :D

Leliana and the Warden going shoe shopping on a frequent basis is totally canon, tbh. Even if the Warden is the 'grrr I like my ugly boots' type. She'd get them to go along with it somehow. Maybe blackmail.

My Warden totally dug her expanding wardrobe as a result of Leliana though. Totally uncharacteristic of a Dalish elf. It's her quirk. :S

Mine is quite stubborn and fussy about "frilly, girly nonsense!". However, she can't say no to her Leliana. Especially if she pouts. Compromises were made over the years. :D

Hell, Leliana could probably get ME into a daft dress and naff shoes... ;)

I still think it's such a wasted opportunity that there wasn't a scene where Dorian, Leliana and Vivienne all fight over what clothes to get the Inquisitor into for the Ball. Have the Inquisitor just stand around in the dressing room uncertainly as they bicker about what would make them look more regal, divine, imposing, etc.

And that Leliana didn't get something herself. I thought everyone wearing the same outfit, same organization or not, was scandalous or something. :S

I'd have found that brilliant, given I choose Adaar as my Inquisitor! :D The dress armour wasn't great tbh. Not beige pyjamas bad, mind you, but a bit odd. Sorry, Leliana darling...the Inquisition committed some crimes of fashion of their own!

It looks a bit better in white.

Spoiler

It's too bad that mod hasn't been updated to work with the most recent patches. There are no screenshots of Leliana with it.

Still should have had unique outfits or something though. Maybe something like these. Blue works for her.

Yeah white works! I'm not on PC though, so no mods for me. *tears*

They're lovely! Blue is definitely her colour. And frills, but with her best assets on show. :D

...and I guess that means it's time to replace my Inquisitor's silly grin with my Warden's moody face again. Throwback Tuesday or something.

Snip the girls in interesting outfits

The clothes for WEWH work for characters like Cullen, Blackwall and Cassandra. They are soldiers wearing a formal uniform. For Leli, Viv and Josie, those rags are shameful.

I like those pics. Leliana in a white and blue dress is headcanon for me. I'm sure she has some dress like that for big balls; and a mask, she needs a pretty mask with some bird motives, a beak or some feathers, for Sister Nightingale. Josie letting her heir down would be beautiful, and that flower gives her look a Spanish air.

I can definitely see Leliana's mask having some bird motifs. It's hard to wear a mask with a beak without looking 100% plague doctor though, so I'd say something that's more elegant yet slightly sinister looking with black feathers adorning it and the like. Cause ravens. Nightingales don't look quite as cool. :S

Yeah, a plague doctor look would be terrible.

I found a venetian mask that would be perfect for Leliana. Silver and blue with some feathers:

I think this is my...sixth playthrough? Maybe seventh.

And all of them have been with the same character, this one included. :S

Would go nicely with that dress above too.

Snap, I started a new one last week. :) Just finished saving Redcliffe village, now off to the Circle to sort out their mess and get help for Conor. I've always had sympathy for Jowan, but I wouldn't trust him to go to the shops for milk, never mind saving a child from a demon in the Fade! :D It suits my headcanon better to have Morrigan do it - she huffs and puffs about it, but she does it out of growing friendship with my Warden. :)

I grinned like an idiot when I met Leliana in Lothering. Maker, I do love her voice. I could listen to Corinne Kempa all day. Every other Orlesian except maybe Riordan I want to punch in the face when they speak, but not Leliana. Dreamy. *sighs*

I have to say, Origins really has aged well. The cutscenes especially. Maybe it's the sightly more fantasy art style, I dunno. The ONLY thing that bothers me is that you can't import a previous save, so have to painstakingly recreate your Warden. It always takes me far longer than it should. I was convinced her nose wasn't right this time! Well I mean look at my avatar. Look at that excellent nose! :D

I really would of liked an 'Enhanced Edition' of DA:O like The Witcher had. But of course that will never be. Bioware (like all developer houses) have to move forward not backward.

It's probably too much of a hassle to bother rehauling, I think.

Or so my reasoning goes.

We have a better chance of seeing an upgraded Mass Effect 1/2.. since those were the unreal 3 engine. There's a lot more tools to make it happen.

My heartbeat speeds at the very notion.

I'm not getting my hopes up or anything, but that fantasy might sustain me for some time.
