I liked that scene. It reminded me of Wynne asking you not to hurt Leliana when romancing her in Origins. It kind of feels like it's all come full circle now

Y'know I just thought...I guess Leliana wanting to threaten the Inquisitor off from a relationship with Josephine in an import where she romanced a Warden who died could have a whole different motivation. She sees a situation similar to what she fell into during the Blight, with her friend potentially falling for a person very similar to her Warden in terms of importance and place in history. Maybe she sees tragedy on the horizon, and part of her wants to save her pretty much last and only good friend that same pain she's evidently still going through now.

Or Alistair because plot flag bugs made the game convinced my Warden was flirting with him which somehow escalated to Leliana thinking my Warden was shagging Alistair when she wasn't, and because I was confused about my dialogue options Leliana pushed her over to him and left poor Warden dumped and scratching her head. Had to restart the whole playthrough to convince the game my Warden and Alistair weren't a thing.
...that was my worst playthrough ever...
That happened to me too more or less! I'm pretty sure I never flirted with Alistair, but I did raise his approval with gifts and was nice to him. All of a sudden Leliana is going postal at poor Warden and shrieking that I'm in love with him! 
I then had to calm her down and go "dump" my poor Bro Alistair. #Awkward

So you could get romantic status by bug magic with one ambiguous flirt and enough approval... Sometimes I understand why nowadays we have those big hearts and that lines saying: "Warning: click here to start romance. Seriously, those other big hearts were just flirting, but if you click this button things are going to get serious. And no, we are not talking about therapeutic massage. "

I was actually genuinely tempted by Alistair on my first playthrough. 
No RPG man has ever tempted me, not even Garrus - mostly because he was a total Bro long before he was a romance option. However, Leliana won the day with her giggles and coy glances. 
Yes, they learned that most people (I speak for myself at least) are as clueless at RPG luurve as we are IRL!
I was actually genuinely tempted by Alistair on my first playthrough.
I think the 'heart lines' were implemented because of outcry about Anders in DA2. There is a particular conversation that leads to sleeping with him that seems innocuous and failure to flirt with Anders nets rivalry points, which some people got annoyed with as well.
That's probably why the approval meter disappeared too.
