Didn't Alistair and Morrigan win their rounds? Maaan, Warden gon' be pissed. Although, my Warden will get on well with Varric. I think your dialogue there is perfect. Rescue mission to find Hawke & Leli a-GO!

My Warden would leave Alistair and Morrigan to bicker and go have drinks with Varric.

it would work out I guess.

My Warden would get along with Varric. No way she'd choose him over Leliana though. She only needs one storyteller to overdramatize her life, thank you. :S

I can imagine the post-mission scene back at Skyhold or wherever now...

Inquisitor: "Hey Varric, what ya writing? More racy romance for Cassandra?

Varric: "Ha!" Ancestors, no. I decided to start writing a story about the Hero of Ferelden. She's quite the exciting lady!

Leliana:

Leliana already wrote an epic, romantic ballad about the HoF apparently. She could sue him for plagarism or something. Would probably be afraid of getting a single detail wrong around Leliana anyway. :S

It's kinda a shame Leliana drifted away from the storytelling. Would have liked some story swapping with Varric. Tales of the Champion? Hah, how quaint.

In my headcanon the Warden is quite modest and can't stand this "Hero of Ferelden" lark, so she forbade Leliana from publishing her story. She even objected to her writing one...so Leli just wrote it in Orlesian and she hasn't a clue what it says.

My Warden is pretty much the same, though in my headcanon she begrudgingly agreed when Leliana asked her to help her write it in Elvish. Most won't understand anyway, and she liked the idea of helping teach her the language. Maybe she taught her Elvish while she taught her Orlesian, for balance.

...always thought 'I am the One' was Leliana's HoF song though, so it appears that by DAI, much to my Warden's horror, that damn Maryden minstrel lady has translated it to the common tongue. Zounds.

Mmmm, maybe Maryden borrowed some songs from the Nightingale, like "I am the One" and "Rise",  and Leli didn't like it. They had some sort of bitter disagreement and then Maryden wrote the lyrics for "Nightingale's Eyes"

Maybe that's why Leli is so eager to cut Maryden's tongue. :P

Speaking of ballads...

If we have another bard in DA4, I hope there is a song about the Warden somewhere in the rotation. The 5th Blight or the battle of Denerim should be fodder for the minstrels.

Little bit off topic but it turns out the new DLC is coming out tomorrow, according to Kotaku.

And since the devs confirmed every singleplayer DLC will be post-game, I have a feeling Lels managed to track down Solas after all. (since he appears in the pic about the new trailer, though it could only be a placeholder for someone else)

Tomorrow? Damn. Who announces a DLC and releases it a day later? :S

Lawd, it's hinted Maryden is trying to woo Sera with her songs. If she's doing the same with Leliana... *Warden sharpens knives*

Is the bold for real? Who said that?

Thanks, but I was referring to the other bolded bit about every SP DLC being set post-game. ;)

I haven't seen that mentioned anywhere before, but it's really cool if true.

I almost feel bad for being able to play it right away, unlike playstation users. Not cool.

Anyway, isn't it too soon for Solas to reappear? I thought they would spare him for later DLCs, if not for the very last one.

(*sigh* I was hoping for a pre-game DLC  )

As I recall that statement was quite some time before the launch of the game, plans could change. Not that I disagree though, I think the DLC will be intended to be post-game, but not for the reason you mentioned. Solas is clearly a companion in the picture, and the simplest explanation is that you can choose whether to do the DLC before or after completing the main campaign. That being said I think they'll want to keep the story moving forward, so the intended timeline of the DLC will be post-campaign.

Have to say, I'm feeling rather positive about this one, the pictures and the premise of it is giving me Legacy vibes :)

Legacy was a great DLC (and turned out to have especially worth playing, given Inquisition!), but what made it for me was the family connection to Hawke. I'd love something to give Quizzy a bit of background because them being so unknown is kind of preventing me getting as attached as I am to the other two. I'm not optimistic, though - they'd basically need what, five different origin stories? And how could you have them all be tied to the main story of the DLC. Ah well.

Lawd, it's hinted Maryden is trying to woo Sera with her songs. If she's doing the same with Leliana... *Warden sharpens knives*

Ha! Leliana would be having none of that. I wish the Inquisitor had flirt options with her, so as to be gloriously shot down. :D

Leliana should have won for the rogues, but at least the Warden won the pro-tag category. Woot.

Meh, it looks so random with Varric in there.

Haha, I was thinking exactly the same thing. Would have been so awesome if Leli had been chosen instead of him.

Yeah, a good number of people say that it should've been Leliana. Even those who voted for Varric.

But then again the rogue category had lesser people voting than the warrior and mage one. Didn't help that they released who is the best protag voting right away. People were more focused on the Warden winning than choosing a fav rogue.

Either way, I think Leliana deserved to win this one. She lost only by a slight, so it's nothing to worry over. She's still up there with Morrigan, Alistair and Varric as far as fav characters go.
