Mate, in case your reading comprehension skills aren't up to snuff (and considering your poor grammer, that's entirely possible), this is an Appreciation Thread. If you don't appreciate the character in question, then what in the world are you even doing here?

Yay! Finally someone remembers Sigrun! I'd love to see her again in future games.

 

Yeah I've always figured my Warden would probably choose Nathaniel as her successor as Warden-Commander as well, but he wasn't anywhere to be found in DA:I, so screw it, he's with her too. The whole Awakening crew, sans Anders and Justice. Maybe Arianne is still tagging along with her as well, I like to imagine they became good friends.  

 

Only person missing in this merry band of adventurers is Leliana.

Yeah, that's pretty much my headcanon too; the Hero of Ferelden and the Amaranthine Wardens going on their quest to cure the Calling together. After the absolute dog's breakfast of a job they did with the Wardens in Inquisition, it's always nice to be reminded of how awesome and interesting the Order is, and all the great characters that are part of it.

 

Still, even if Leliana's not on this quest with them, I'd imagine that she was a frequent guest at the Vigil, post-Awakening. Which brings up an interesting question; how do you guys think she would have gotten along with the Awakening Wardens?

I always bring Sten and Leliana for that. I just find the stark contrast between their two reactions back-to-back amusing. Leliana's basically wetting herself, and then there's Sten who's all "Congratulations. You found a wastebin." 

 

I was expecting Leliana to threaten bringing up that kitten again to shut him up.

Sten is definitely a good option for this quest. I also love how his dialogue in Haven goes basically like this:

 

Sten: "What are we doing here?"

Warden: "We... we are looking for the Urn of Sacr..."

Sten: "No. SPELL EXACTLY WHAT ARE WE DOING HERE."

Warden: "Searching the urn of a dead woman. Then we can dump her ashes on Arl Eamon, hope it fixes him "

Sten: "Fight me."

Warden: O_o

I've just had the adorable conversation where Leliana compliments my hair. Lady Elise sums up everything that is ridiculous about Orlesians IMO.

I already had that conversation with Cassandra where she begs the Inquisitor to take her along to hit something one last time, so I knew she wasn't going to get removed. I just mean it seems odd that nobody else takes issue with the Divine being put at risk like that.

Before starting the DLC I had no idea this was an option, I thought I had lost Vivienne as well as Solas. Then I found out I could ask her to put aside her preparations for the ceremony and rejoin my party. She wasn't amused when I dragged her into a swamp full of spirit-binding artifacts, but still gave me some insight on the giant plant living there

Leliana and Sigrun got along beautifully, I can see it now. She has exactly the kind of personality I think she'd find endearing. 

 

I reckon she'd ease up to Nathaniel once she finds he's actually a good guy. Similar skillset, too, even if Nate's a bit more ranger-ish.

 

Anders and Justice probably hit the road before she ever met them. If not, I don't know, it was probably brief. 

 

Velanna probably wouldn't like her. Cause she's Velanna and she's grumpy all the time. Not sure if the feeling would be mutual.

I thought it was a bit improved in Inquisition (and I'm saying this as a froggy). But yeah it's kind of a trademark now.

I was thinking more along the lines of the fact that both Marjolaine and Justinia ended up manipulating Leliana in the end. That voice actress is cursed. Leliana needs to stay away from anyone voiced by her. 

 

But now you've gotten the image of Marjolaine and Justinia flirting with the exact same voice actress into my head, so thanks for that.

Slightly OT quick question: much as I try to stay in the moment on each playthrough, I'm actually having a hard time justifying killing Flemeth after everything that's transpired. I'll probably RP in the moment and do it to protect Morrigan, so my Warden thinks at least, but I'm just wondering what happens in DA2 if you don't? Do you just not get the quest with Merrill and the Altar?

She puts a lot of effort into these, not just the covers, but the accompanying videos themselves, it's really cool. Girl does look like Leliana too. :3

No. But same as one of her lady-in-waiting triplet. Briala also shares her voice with one of the triplet. And I heard Gaspard voice in Val Royeaux with the dwarf/Orlesian duo that keep arguing.

I'm pretty sure that DAO Marjolaine and Justinia =/= DAI Justinia.

He definitely is. Though I always find the identical voices of Stroud and Riordan to be distracting.

I've just gone to get Shale, as I need her sass and voice that sounds like a chain smoking drag queen back in my life. I forgot about that creepy kitty. One of the best minor villains IMO!

It's not my intention to upset you, or other people that don't like Leliana and hate the fact that devs have chosen that she had a big role in DAI. I apologise if I did with my catapult joke or using the term Leli hater. I usually don't talk about the characters I hate, but I didn't like Anders in DAA and I deeply disliked him in DA2. My canon Hawke murder knifed him because I think that was the reaction my Hawke would have to being used, but I personally think I just did what he wanted me to do, to turn him into a martyr. So if you call me a Blondie hater I would agree and wouldn't take it as an insult or something like that.

 

I just think that Leliana could make a prank like the one Basement Cat mentioned. She makes a much more innocent prank on Josephine and Josie is her friend, so a nastier one on someone mean to her is not unthinkable. I also think a character trained in all kinds of intrigues involving poisoning, blackmailing and all that fuss, should be able to do that prank without leaving proofs that she's been the culprit.

 

You mention the proper reaction for a sane person in that kind of conflict scenario is to fire Leliana, and maybe you're right. But were talking about having an approval/disapproval score with the advisors, so an Inquisitor who triggers the scene I described is someone who acts consistently against what Leliana believes and loves, maybe one that mocks her faith and acts against the Chant, then conscripts the Mages and afterwards hurts Josie. Taking out the options to react to companions actions isn't good, having no consequences to being mean to them isn't good either.

You didn't but as i said if leliana punch inquisitor in the face you don't need to be "hater" to want punish character for doing that in first place.About lack of consequences true but it is pointless if they refuse give us proper reaction on that like they did with threats.

I already went trought that so there is no point it is character thread even mods told so as they don't want 10 character threads so raging because i criticized your favorite character is pointless even if i didn't (this time).
