Nah. If the Hero of Ferelden could take down the Harvester with a half-functioning golem and two dwarven scrubs, she could at least survive against the Nightmare.

That's a damn tough fight. But yeah, a good measure.

Well, even so, she'd kind of be stuck there unless someone got her out. Which...gives her, like, a few days unless she can sustain herself on Fade goop.

It's a grim fate either way for whoever is left in the physical Fade...

She could possibly make it to one of the other Fade rifts in the Western Approach and leave that way?

I...doubt it? I don't imagine crossing between the physical Fade to the real world is that easy without having a glowy Fade hand to help you out.

There's a theory floating around (in my head) that Flemeth doesn't intend to harm or possess Morrigan at all. Flemeth wants to create new gods to battle the old gods and undo their mess. The old gods led the world to destruction, so she'll make new ones that will lead it to restoration. Look at Solas: he had the best of  intentions and he almost destroyed the world because the guy has a lot of knowledge and no wisdom (giving that orb to Cory? Really? He seems trustworthy to you? Idiot).

Morrigan makes mistakes out of ignorance, not foolishness. Once she learns her lesson, it sticks. See how she raises Kieran. *heacanon activate*

I really like the idea of 'auntie Leliana'. Ooh! Christmas idea!

Morrigan gets enchanted paper for Leliana that only shows what's written on it if you say the right code phrase. (what? We gets eavesdropping crystals, why not secret paper?). For Kieran, she gets him a book about history/herbalism/fauna/etc. Something he can study, basically.

Leliana gets some rare plant saplings for Morrigan. (she always focuses on gathering herbs at the war table). For Kieran, she gives him one of her birds to keep as a pet!

Kieran would get jewelry for his mother and shoes for Leliana, of course. He has an eye for taste after all.

What the Warden gets depends, but kissing time under the mistletoe with Leliana is a must. :D

My "canon" Warden is a Queen Cousland who was just very best friends with Leli. They bonded over Leliana teaching her the Bardic arts.

I like to imagine she commissions a talented Shoemaker to craft a a pair for her friend once a year and sends it to her in Orlais.

Random, but your post made me think of it.

that'd be dependent on navigating the Fade, not a great prospect

Also...I seem to remember that someone mentioned during the game that the Anchor was protecting the entire group from the ravages of being in the Fade as mortals.

What can't Spirit Warrior do, after all. Those OP antics could almost reshape reality.

If that's the case...yeah. Hawke/Alistair/Loghain/Stroud/Warden in this hypothetical scenario are completely screwed. I think people who take the 'will likely die to cover your escape' to mean 'they'll be alright' are perhaps a wee bit too optimistic. :S

seemed more like an angle to bring them back later

the writers can always make up a hole for them to survive

Eh. I just think it's a fitting end for my Hawke too, who was...a complete jackass, really. Lovable jackass, but a bit of a dink all the same. Died heroically in the end. I like it.

Hawke didn't die. I refuse to believe that.

If there's anyone who can fight well in the Fade...nightmare or not... it's him/her. She was unphased in the Fade level in DA2. Not to mention already has a life of nightmare-ish situations. She's strong.

I hope the person left in the Fade stays gone, tbh. That scene with Varric afterwards was really powerful, it would be severely cheapened if Hawke steps out of a rift later, smoking a cigar, and saying "Sup."

And, as I've said before, I like the ending to the character I have now. Meh.

The dream Fade. Not the physical Fade.

I'll just keep hoping.. I don't really care to kill them myself. I just think Hawke in general deserves better. And if anyone had a chance, it's them.

I like Hawke. I like my Warden a lot more, but I like my Hawke. More than my Inquisitor I'd say.

Just so nobody thinks I'm hoping for Hawke's conclusive death if you choose to go that way out of any sort of contempt for the character. Quite the opposite. I just think that choice should mean something.

That's cool. I think there's valid reasons to do it. But yeah, there's often people who just do it out of spite for DA2.

I guess this is why we never saw the Warden's personal letter to Leliana. It could vary so much between Warden to Warden.

A Brosca Warden learning to read/write for her is kinda cute tho. I figure my Mahariel learned to write a lot better than she did before with her, and picked up a bit of Orlesian.

I would like some kind of rescue in the Fade mission, because another great adventure and "No one left behind" feels better for me than the one you left behind just died. But when I think it in a rational way, the poor one stuck in the Fade is completely screwed. Let's assume whoever got stuck in the Fade survives the fight against Blinky, let's assume there are no ambient hazards in the Fade that can kill anyone without an anchor to protect him/her... Ok, how much food is he/she carrying? Because there is nothing to eat there, unless you think demons are edible. And how much water? I remember some liquids, but I don't think they were water.

All in all, according to lore there is a way to survive, but I think it could be even worse. An spirit/a demon could possess him/her and keep him/her alive somehow. If that's the case who was the demon closer to Hawke/the Grey Warden when the Inquisitor went out? Are BioWare people as evil as to give us the Rescue in the Fade quest as DLC, just to make us fight a Nightmare possessed Hawke/Stroud/Loghain/Alistair?

Honestly, you couldn't pay me to drink whatever that was we were wading through in the Fade. :S

But yeah, that's the main reason I think the person left behind is boned. Even if they win. It's...pretty grim.

Aww! In my mind Warden Commander Brosca shouted some dwarven curses while writing it because $&%* writing is so &$%* difficult.

Sure! A human or dwarf noble could use a more elevated languaje, a city elf or a dwarf commoner would write in a more colloquial manner, and a Dalish would have many elven words in it. It would even be very different the letter from a Warden who had all the persuasion perks, because if the HoF was very persuasive, maybe that would reflect in his/her writing.

I'm sure everyone's Warden would address her as something different too. Mine always calls her 'ma vhenan' tbh. Probably followed by the sappiest love letter ever written by any person ever, because that's how she rolls. :S

It's hard to beat 'My Nug Dumpling' though.
