There, fixed it for ya.
Hey, Marjolaine tried to kill Leliana; the Warden in that situation is going out of her way to not have to kill Leliana.

Not without using her first.
Say whatcha like, that sort of Warden, no better than Marjolaine in my book.
Defiling the ashes goes against the very grain of who Leliana is supposed to be post Orlais, and the manipulation required to convince her to begrudgingly accept it is pretty Marjolaine-worthy, in all honesty.
Hah. You're not hardcore until you defile the Urn, get Leliana to back down, and then romance her.
Been there, done that. It makes a hilarious DAI import, I hear.

I'm not "using" her; the Urn has nothing to do with her.
(Well, actually, I don't defile the Ashes anyway, I just did in my first run.)

I thought that was one of the flaws with the DA series.
Characters should sometimes have romance arcs locked out if you commit actions that are diametrically opposed to their core values. There are a few pairings in the game that are out of character for the LI. Leliana with a sacred ashes defiling Warden is one. Another is Fenris with blood mage Hawke.

Yeah, I agree. Even for a Hardened Leliana it doesn't make sense, especially looking at her character in DA:I (which of course someone playing Origins before then had no way of knowing, mind you). It's very...off putting. Sacrificing core beliefs for a relationship isn't very healthy. Not sure how it works with blood mage Hawke and Fenris, but with Leliana it's pure psychological manipulation. ![]()

Right, even the hardened version is still a devout Andrastian. Religious faith is a big part of who Leliana is as a character, so her finding a way to tolerate perhaps the most blasphemous act imaginable for an Andrastian leans heavy into OOC territory.
Haha, I actually never saw that one before. Hilarious. Thanks, Ripley!
I imagine many people here have seen this already, but it makes me laugh every time. Sad, but true. Spoiler tagged as there's a swear in the image (sorry
)
Spoiler
It is pretty ridiculous that you only get a belt for the quest considering how long it lasts, It should've instead given some kind of warden weaponry/armor ![]()
Leliana being seductive...if only it were so in Inquisition.

It almost was... But under... very... weird circumstances. Also, perceivable as rape.

Elaborate?
Elaborate?
Long story short, in the Templar mission would be still be in the fade back in Haven and Envy would pose as Leliana and try to seduce you
And I think there was an opinion to sleep with her or realize everything was fake

Champions of the Just, and the original idea.
The original idea was that the battle with Envy would end very easily, with almost no effort. Then you return to Haven, and Leliana starts asking questions. Nothing strange, right. At the end, she'd offer to sleep with the Inquisitor.
The catch is, this would all be Envy, trying to get to know as much about the Inquisitor as possible. So, you'd eventually call out Envy on all the bollocks, and the quest would resume with a regular boss battle.
Pretty much the same thing as we got in regards to the "Hey, I'm trying to learn stuff about you so I can STEAL YOUR FACE!" except in the final game, Envy's going a bit more aggressive (and obvious) about it. I keep saying the original idea should've been merely adjusted, and the part where "Leliana" asks to sleep with you would be the only part cut out. Sadly, it ended differently, and we got a slightly worse sequence out of it. I would prefer Champions of the Just, but as it is in the final game, In Hushed Whispers gives me more FEELS.

I don't know, being possibly raped by a demon might be worth it to sleep with Leliana one more time... were it not for the fact that you'd have to side with the templars for it.
Speaking of which, I've always found it funny that a mage PC can, in fact, rape Connor's desire demon.

No, you're thinking about it the other way around. It was decided that technically, you could perceive it as raping Leliana.
Simply, a no-go. But the original idea was just... so much superior, IMHO. And yes, I'll emphasize again, it was superior if you removed that whole "sleep with Leli" bit.

Would've been funny if that option was an insta gameover

Not much is known, but somehow, I think sleeping with Lenvy (nice morph there, see?) would either be THAT, or very close to that.
I'm not sure, but maybe it was even intended the way you could do it, and then call out Envy on his bollocks. We'll never know. Frankly, I don't need to know.
If you did that option, the Warden should have leapt out of nowhere after the Fade dream was over, and roundhouse kicked the Inquisitor across the jaw, resulting in an instant gameover.
Haha, I approve!
