Was better than she thought, though. I like to think she...learned...over the years. With Leliana's help.

My Warden maxed her coercion fairly early in the game and yet she still couldn't take a hint if she was bludgeoned over the head with it.

I've been serial thumbing again, so...

Probably because she doesn't like Morrigan much.
If you're flirting with both her and Alistair she actually pushes you towards him, and approves if you choose him over her.
I know, because my game bugs out to make Leliana think she's been macking it with Alistair all the time. :/
Alright then, I need to try it. Another reason for a playthrough in Origins.

Am I the only one who's never once run out of likes? Sometimes I just flat out forget to give them, even if the post warranted it. Back in my day, we didn't have no like button 'round here... :S
Yes we did. It was in the feed.

It may have already been say, but I wonder if the "voice" she heard and what brought her from the brink of death was that of a spirit of Faith?
Based on what we know now it's not too farfetched, it is?
We know Cole like to whisper reassure things to people and make them forget, but that thought is still there. Who's to say that a spirit did the same thing in her time of need?

Suit yourself I guess, I'd be glad if I never saw it again. :S
Every time it's happened to me has been because of bugs, unfortunately. I really dislike the love triangles in BioWare games. At least Warden/Leliana/Alistair is somewhat bearable as both parties just get it over with with minimal school playground drama, the Warden/Morrigan/Leliana one just makes me cringe with how ego-stroking it was when I looked it up. Kinda glad they stopped doing those. Probably unpopular opinion.

There was no overall like count though, and as soon as you made ten something more posts the like was gone from the feed and lost forever into the abyss.
Things were different back then...I kinda prefer this layout now...

I counted all mine. It was over 9000.

There was no notification you got a like, either. I'd sometimes make a post, go about my merry day, and then come back to see a dozen people liked it and there was a 40 something post conversation going on right under my nose that I was oblivious to. Madness.

Yeah, there was something sort of fun about that.
Of course, there was also the phenomenon of burying all that within 10 minutes, never to be seen again, depending on how frequently people posted.

Mind you it isn't much better now, where nobody, even your friends who are online, notice you posted it because nobody checks the feed anymore, but still.
On that note, my notifications for when I get quoted seem to have stopped. Damnit biower now is not the time.

And that scene. Oh sweet Mother Earth, that scene!
"She said 'I'm sorry Leliana, I failed you too."
"...oh..."
Her delivery of that line brutally murdered me, lawd.

Not even a word, just a sound, but one that carried so much suffering. Corinne Kempa really did a stellar job with Leliana.

Ooh, a comic from the depths of Tumblr! Many feels!
D'awww. And awwww.

She really did. She's always done a good job, but I imagine the more emotionally tortured, depressed Leliana was a bit trickier to pull off, and she did it without a hitch.
The scene after that one got to me by delivery alone too.
"Why? Why were you the only survivor?"
"Did she say anything else? Anything at all?"
She sounds so simultaneously confused and heartbroken as she struggles to wrap her head around it all.

"We were in love. Even amidst the chaos at the time...I was happy. Truly happy. And then...she..." *trails off*
If one line succeeds in making me nope out of a play through, I'd say it was a well done line. :S

Oh that part is painful. You can tell by her voice that she feels betrayed by the Maker (again if the Warden romanced her and did the ultimate sacrifice). She sounds close to tears there. Actually I imagine she is crying. She was audibly crying in Leliana's Song and yet we saw no tears. So the animators just didn't bother.
I'm pretty sure Morrigan was crying too when she was begging Flemeth to leave her son alone. Or maybe people in the DA verse don't have lachrymal glands...

Leli looking wistful.
*snip*
*sigh* Such pretty eyes.
One of the few things DA2 had going for it is that you could make them out better than the other two games. In DA:O and DA:I the lighting doesn't always do them justice.

I don't think BioWare is good with tears. Some characters cried in Mass Effect now and then, and it looked like someone stuck liquid glue onto their face rather than tears. Or...nevermind.
Only time I thought it worked was with Jack's mascara.

I think that Jack was the most beautiful NPC in the Mass Effect universe.
I tried so hard to mimic her features in the CC.

I have difficulty imagining Leliana crying.
Recently I was reading about Theodore Roosevelt, who had the misfortune of losing his first wife on Valentine's Day (also their anniversary) after giving birth to a daughter. His mother also died on the same day from typhus. Clearly the deaths deeply affected him, particularly that of his wife, as evidenced by the diary entry he made that day:

But he refused to ever speak of it, even with his daughter, and forbid anyone to speak his wife's name in his presence. While later consoling a friend who had also lost his wife, Roosevelt reportedly told him to bury the pain as deep as possible inside him, or it would destroy him. We of course know that isn't true now, but it is how a lot of people (particularly men) thought back then.
I kind of think Leliana has a similar mindset. She barely mentions her mother, only gives the briefest mention of her father, and does not go into a lot of detail about the trauma she experienced while captured in Orlais. She gives the Warden just enough information to figure out what happened, but that's it. And in Leliana's Song she appears to spin a tall tale around that to whomever the audience was. In Dragon Age: Inquisition she gives off a similar vibe with Justinia's death. At first she seems to be going through a crisis of faith and even a little bit of survivor's guilt, and while she initially vents to the Inquisitor, she seems to catch herself and then pull back before fully opening up. That conversation ends with her returning to the stiff upper lip routine and "Well thats enough of that, back to work."
So I kind of have a hard time picturing her crying. I think she might be the type that tends to bottle up her emotions. She's a crying on the inside type, basically.
