It still feels strange when Snook's referred to as a man.
I was really starting to be sure he's actually a woman.
*shrug*
It feels strange for me too, because everyone seems to have been convinced otherwise. It's weird. :S

This is why it's useful to have a male noun as part of your screen name. I never get confused with a woman, even though I hang around in the Sera thread and had a female avatar for a while... ![]()
Well mountains are often in border territory for obvious reasons (like the frostbacks in DA.) Here's a photo taken in Switzerland. The Snow-capped mountains in the background are the Mont Blanc Massif in France, with Italy just behind.
Spoiler
Actually here's a photo in which Mountains in all three countries can be seen. A bit cold at that altitude to be somewhere where you'd want to live, though...
Spoiler
I see Leliana as preferring city life, really. Parties and fashion and stories and people.Relaxation would be more about finding some anonymity than getting away from it all.

Hehe, don't worry about it.
It's not like you're the only one who loves their female Warden (I do too, and I'm perfectly male - at least I was the last time I looked). In a completely... uh... platonic way.
And heck, my canon is actually three Rogues. Rogue City Elf, Rogue Hawke, Rogue Inky. Three... female... Rogues.
I'm guessing you took all of these then? Cause they're pretty. I did a cross-Europe trip once when I was younger and again on honeymoon a few years back, and it certainly succeeded in making me wish I was a photographer both times. And made me realize I don't leave my little hole up north here very much. Probably why I spend so much time looking at pretty pictures. :S
Yeah photography is my hobby. Glad you like them. ![]()

Yes, that, or never shut up about how you love the stuff most women don't really have much interest in.
(Seriously, weapons? Planes? Military? The last time I looked, the majority of women wasn't too big on the subject. Heck, the majority of MEN seem to not be too big on the subject.)

I used to be SergeantSnookie. Not a male pronoun, but I got less confusion then for some reason.
...and for the record, a snook is a type of fish. :S
I'm someone who just plays whatever I feel like and gets attached to them all the same. Canon goes female Mahariel, male mage Hawke, female Lavellan...I don't discriminate. I play everything. :S
I play both too. I've done male and female runs in all the DA and ME games, although for some reason with voiced protagonists I've preferred to play as a woman so far, both in DA and ME. My canon Origins character is a male mage who romanced Morrigan, but canon Shepard is a Liaramancing Femshep, Hawke is female who romanced Isabela and I'm pretty sure Inquisition will be a Seramancing Lavellan.

Nice to meet you, Sarn't.
Bit of trivia, that's where my original came from. That rank. Thing is, I no longer meet the requirements I'd put on myself to earn it, so...
Also, nice to see you're indiscriminate! Me, for some reason, I find myself more comfortable playing women. Maybe because I find the female voices better (but that's no excuse in Origins, heh)... and maybe because I'm a dirty minded little bosh'tet. That could be partially it.

I'm not actually a sergeant of anything, either. I just liked the alliteration.
Hmm, I always thought yours was just Sera with a z.
Ah, I see. I have to admit, the only time I actually reached the rank of Sergeant was back in ArmA: Armed Assault, in Sahrani Life. Made it all the way to Sergeant of the North Sahrani Police Department. At the point I held the rank, it was third in the chain of command (but there were plenty Sergeants - pretty much every reliable, experienced officer was a Sergeant) rank-wise, right under two or three Inspectors and a Chief Inspector.
And, no. Try translating Sergeant into my primary language. Bam, instant mystery solution. I used the name long before Inquisition was even announced. Maybe some three-ish years ago.
Hmm, for me, I think the Inquisitor is actually the first voiced BioWare protagonist where I've preferred the female VAs, myself. I really love Nicholas Bolton and Mark Meer, so for Hawke and Shepard my preference usually leaned towards them.
The unvoiced Warden meanwhile I can only see as a woman. Probably because I only ever play one Warden at all, as I'm too hopelessly attached to her by now to do anything else. :S
I didn't like Bolton much, especially with my favoured sarcastic Hawke. He played it for pantomime laughs as opposed to Jo Wyatt's dry delivery. With Shepard it was much closer-run, but it takes a lot to beat Jennifer Hale in the VA stakes, and though I think Meer is a cool guy and thought that he grew into the role really well, I liked Hale all the way through.

Hmm, each to their own, I thought Bolton blew sarcastic Hawke out of the water. He makes it much more...comedic, like someone who really just doesn't take the world seriously, and at times can be completely outrageous, and it was perfect. Jo Wyatt meanwhile delivers it in a much dryer, nonchalant sort of way. I guess it depends on what you're going for, I just personally find the former the more entertaining. :S
That video is exactly what I'm talking about. It's like watching a Pantomime. Far too over-the-top-for my tastes in the context of a dark-ish fantasy video game. I much prefer Jo Wyatt's dry style.
Oh sure. For me I wanted a Hawke whose humour reflected their exasperation at the crazy people around them, as opposed to their own wackiness, but I'm constantly impressed by the myriad of different ways in which people can enjoy the same games, and in that respect I think it's good that the two VAs had different takes on the role...And I love that. Hawke being a completely outrageous jackass was exactly what I wanted, and felt like a great relief to all the other downer things going on. As usual, YMMV I guess. :S
I missed most of it...just couldn't take my eyes off of Tallis in that vid.
Also interestingly, there seems to be confirmation that Leliana's Song is the embellished version of the tale, whereas the story she told the Warden was the truth. It says she fled into Ferelden. She wasn't in Ferelden at the time.
Sadly that means Leliana most likely never actually met Adaia Tabris, must have just been a detail she added in later
Shepard...hmm, Meer's more reserved emotionally delivery just hits the right notes to me more. Hale puts a little bit too much emotion into it for me, which doesn't quite seem right for a grizzled war veteran. Once again, I guess it depends on what you're going for. Meer really shined when Shepard was supposed to he biting back emotion in ME3.
I preferred Meer for similar reasons. I think overall his performance is spot on for a military officer. He was better at conveying emotion in scenes without over-emoting. Both versions of Shep got quality voice acting, but I think Meer edges out Hale slightly across the whole trilogy. Hale was probably better in the first game though, where Meer sometimes was a little flat.

She might have still met her, just not in the same circumstances as in Leliana's Song.
