WOT vol. 2 confirms that Leliana is the one who started the Orlesian nug loving trend.
That explains some Deviant Art pieces I've seen recently.

I'm sure my Warden can hook her up whenever she feels the need for it. Stress relief and all. I mean, Dalish probably hit that stuff a lot, right?
Headcanon confirmed: That's how Elfroot got it's name. ![]()
This one is from just before Mythal. I'm not actually sure what the expression is at all...

Clearly she's looking at Morrigan and thinking: hot hot hot!

She looks like she's giving a 'come hither' look. Poor Leli. Getting her hormones tempted like that. ![]()

Those two talking to each other is... interesting.
Leliana actually sounds aroused at one point. That emphatic 'yes'...
I don't think people have every gotten over that banter about the dress. XD
I bet if there was a scene at the Winter Palace where Leliana catches Morrigan wearing the dress and they actually bantered about it the internet would explode. ![]()

Oh I love that banter. Two women whose frames of reference just don't mesh. In a weird way it's a bit like Sera and Vivienne...

The funny thing is that, if Kieran is there, he's the one who chose the dress. I can only imagine Morrigan's reaction when Kieran suggested it. And then when she saw Leliana was with the Inquisition... Stay away from my son indeed.
Morrigan is such an adorable mother. She's stern, but clearly very loving.

Except better because it's Leliana and Morrigan. *totally not biased*
Seriously though, I don't see many similarities beyond the mutual dislike. Leliana wanted to be friends with Morrigan and was rejected. Sera and Vivienne 'hated' each other from the word go. Leliana and Morrigan also debated philosophy (not very civilly, but still...). Sera and Vivienne don't. Leliana and Morrigan are also smarter than both Sera and Vivienne. Vivienne is very short sighted and unable to see from a different perspective. That will cause her trouble one of these days, whether or not she is Divine.
Leliana is definitely a bit flirty with Morrigan initially in DA:O.
Morrigan ices her though.

I just mean that in both cases the two women are from such different worlds that their priorities and frames of reference just don't align and they almost talk past each other, not that they have many similarities in character.

Leliana's interactions in DAO are all very interesting. She acts like a big sister for Alistair, teases Sten, flirts with Morrigan, etc. There are a few times I'm sure she wanted to give Zevran a good kick in the b****. Still, she had a really good banter with him about looking at a girl and when he asks which girl, she says 'the one with the shoes'. ![]()

Even then, it doesn't quite apply. Sera was raised by a noble lady for some time and she actively fights against the nobility. She knows and understands the system, whereas for Morrigan the civilized world was completely alien.
Sera and Vivienne are on opposite ends of the same spectrum. Morrigan and Leliana were on completely different grids.
It's funny that in both cases it's an archer who doesn't get along with one of the mages. I persist in thinking Leliana was gently mocking Wynne by overplaying her innocence. There's no way she didn't know what the cherry stem thing means.

I like her banter with Wynne as well.
Leliana: You remind me of Lady Cecilie.
Wynne: Who?
Leliana: She was an Orlesian lady. My mother served her until she died and Lady Cecilie let me stay, instead of turning me out on the street.
Leliana: You are like her in some ways. You have the same poise, the same air of nobility.
Wynne: Oh, child, I am hardly noble.
Leliana: I learned that nobility isn't just something you are born with. I have met nobles who were petty and mean—complete degenerates.
Leliana: Then there are people with a certain dignity and grace. It draws you to them, no matter who you are, or who they are.
Leliana: I think that the lowest peasant can have the most noble spirit and it will always shine through. It is this nobility of spirit that you share with Cecilie.
Wynne: Why... thank you, Leliana. It is very kind of you to say that.
That banter always came on in strangely inappropriate times for me. Usually they'd just finished some back and forth snark with Morrigan insulting her faith, vision, etc...and then a few minutes later Leliana was staring at her boobs.
...alright then, that changed atmosphere. :S
Possibly Leliana was getting her revenge by making Morrigan uncomfortable. Also it's difficult not to stare when Morrigan displays so much. And then she puts on a bra to have sex.

Now I'm picturing Morrigan's outfit with the Sex Bra, it's rather disturbing.
And then I thought:
Morrigan: Let me slip into something more comfortable...
::puts on bra::
When is that EVER more comfortable?!
It just occurred to me: Leliana was sisterly with Alistair, just like she is with Josephine. Alistair likes figurines... Josephine still plays with dolls... Can you imagine Leliana walking in on the two of them playing with dolls? ![]()
or each other ![]()

That's one part of the game that I unashamedly modded, although it makes it a bit awkward in Return to Ostagar when you suddenly have naked Cailan strung up by the Darkspawn...

Well, in a way it's appropriate, isn't it? The point of displaying an enemy's corpse is to intimidate and demoralize. I doubt they'd be too concerned with dignity.
