*mumblegrumble* Conscripting the mages doesn't necessarily mean that you support Vivienne and want to reform the circles. If can mean simply that you don't trust their current leadership given their track record and only wish to ensure their allegiance until Corypheus is defeated. *mumblegrmuble*

Instead of seeing it as a restriction on gameplay and game choices, interpret it as Vivienne playing the system to make sure it looks like you support her and her ideas.

That's what I do, as well as putting it down to political interpretation by those in the Chantry who are looking at the decision from afar, but it would be nice to have the opportunity to clarify the reasoning behind your choices...Instead of seeing it as a restriction on gameplay and game choices, interpret it as Vivienne playing the system to make sure it looks like you support her and her ideas.

Unfortunately, televised press conferences don't exist in DA. Although they might as well, considering how fast the information seems to travel...

Just during the scene would have been cool, or in conversation with Josie afterwards, maybe. She's basically the Inquisition's press officer...Unfortunately, televised press conferences don't exist in DA. Although they might as well, considering how fast the information seems to travel...

What does Leliana say about the Warden in the world state where she was romanced and he is still alive?

Gah, my feels.
I really hope they get their happily ever after, even if it just has to be headcanon. I also do hope this Calling quest gets *some* closure, even if the HoF never reappears. I'm playing through Origins again and just finished Soldier's Peak. Reading Avernus' research and his theories really makes it seem like there's interesting story potential there. Add that to the Architect (whom my Warden spared - yes, I know, one of her dodgier decisions.
) and his theories, then there's definitely potential. It's a really great side story in the wider lore. I honestly can't see Patrick Weekes ever caving about having the HoF reappear though.
His most recent comments was that HoF wouldn't work well as an NPC. Definitely not - that's why you make a DLC with them as the PC! ![]()
Also, does anyone else find the way Leliana says "precisely" sends shivers down their spine?

most of the things Leliana says gives me shivers down in my trou- no sorry I will stop there
I fear The Calling: Revenge of the Warden stuff will be relegated to some vague ambiguous codex in DA 4

Most likely.
Still, even that would be something. I love headcanon but I like established fact in the lore too. ![]()

Every time I see her tarot card, I think the same thing: stop skipping meals and eat something! And take a nap too!
Leli be harming herself because of stress and grief. I like her becoming friends with the Inquisitor. My latest one might be my canon one: a male albino Trevelyan. So far he's hovering between Josie and Cass. He looks so cool though!

Yes, she's pretty gaunt looking these days.
Yet somehow still beautiful, in a more haunting kind of way. She got on pretty well with my Female Qunari IQ, despite terrifying her by threatening her over Josie. It was quite amusing seeing my IQ towering over Leli but still being a bit scared.
I wonder does Leli have any in-game reaction if you break Josie's heart? I couldn't bring myself to crush the poor Disney Princess, though.
Very unusually for me, I want a playthrough with a character who isn't my canon PC, purely for the purpose of dating Cassandra and/or Dorian. The male voices just aren't as good as Alix WIlton-Regan, though - to me at least. For some reason I think a bloke would be a better new BFF for Leliana, dunno why. Less temptation for Warden to worry about maybe.** ![]()
** I'm aware that Leli is written as bi and I'm not disrespecting that fact at all. Just the way my headcanon and interpretation of her works, that she really does enjoy the company of women. Very much so, in fact. ![]()

I actually like the American male voice a lot. Although the British one takes the cake for the judgement of the 'box'. So snarky...

Oh they both have a roving eye in my world. And can be quite adventurous...
Nah, in my headcanon Isabela was the one and only time they decided to play nice with others.
I've always felt that Leli does have a preference for women, but I'm wary of offending anyone. I've seen some nasty wars break out over the issue, with people screaming "SHE'S ACTUALLY A LESBIAN!!" and all sorts.
Actually I've heard that she doesn't actually reveal the true depth of her relationship with conniving b*tchface Marjolaine to a male Warden? That seems odd. Mind you it's just from a friend who played it, and Origins romance dialogue was atrociously bugged back in the day, especially for Leli. Although Anders never tells FemHawke about Karl for some reason. Odd.
I might try the British guy as I prefer British voices in DA. ![]()

Still replaying Origins myself. I want to play DAI again, but want to wait till I get a new console. I really want Cassandra as Divine for reasons I've stated before, but all the major decisions that suit my character favour Leliana greatly.
So it's a choice of changing my actual world state or accepting an outcome that doesn't suit my headcanon for Leliana. Sigh. ![]()
EDIT: Just occurred to me...if I played the game and got Leli but then changed it to Cass in the Keep, I wonder would it point out my choices conflicted with that...? I just tried it out and there was no issue. Mind, no plot flags exist for DA4 yet...

Having finished Jaws of Hakkon with my Seramancing elven mage Tressa, I'm back to My Cassmancing Human rogue Aidan. I'm hoping for softened Leliana as Divine. I'm pretty sure I won't get Vivienne this time, and I don't want my Inquisitor to lose the love of his life to the Chantry...
I'll definitely retcon Tressa's game to put Leliana on the sunburst throne instead of Vivienne if I can for the DA4 import, because apart from that one thing Tressa's playthrough just worked out so well for me, and I want her to be my canon. As far as I can tell from looking at the wiki it was so close between Leliana and Vivienne in Tressa's PT that one dialogue where Tressa said that mages should be in the Chantry swung it for Viv. My canon warden is with Morrigan so it's not like I'm keeping Lels from her lover.

I messed about with a few things in the Keep, like selecting choices for Calpernia (I never side with Templars) and the Keep flagged several choices for me to change. However I can select any of the three Divine candidates and it doesn't have an issue. Provided they don't add plot flags later, this looks promising and removes a massive headache for me.

Yeah I learned from the Wiki that if it's close or tied, Viv has priority over both, and Leliana has priority over Cassandra. Bah! ![]()

Viv gets you a throne?? She has some uses so.
Yeah I never found the thrones great to be honest. Overall I think the Skyhold customisation was a teensy bit over-rated pre release...

OH right! TBH I did her quest last, and had pretty much given up on customisation by then. I kinda like the look of that one though. Which given how phallic it is, confuses me greatly... ![]()
