That's what I was thinking.

 

I highly doubt whatever new DLC we're getting next will be like JoH since that was just more of the same. Hopefully it's something with a tighter story and more dialogue.

Jaws of Hakkon may have been "more of the same" but I'd say that it's the best map in the game, and it has some really interesting lore. I found it especially rewarding to play as an Elf, for the way that NPCs actually recognised the inquisitor's race as much as for the Ameridan stuff.

 

That said I would of course welcome some good story content, and more Corinne Kempa is always appreciated.

I've said before that I think she's perfectly cast because she's a French woman living in London and it shows in her voice. She has a French accent but there's definitely English to be heard there. Obviously that fits with Leliana's mixed Orlesian/Fereldan heritage.

Yep, perfect casting. I've no idea if other Orlesian characters are cast with French people, but none are as good. Marjolaine in particular is infuriating. Leliana has a gorgeous lilt, and manages to pronounce "th" at the start of a word properly. Perfect.

Some of the Orlesians sound to me very much like British actors doing their best French and not always succeeding. Mother Giselle sounds especially off to me.

Gomez, this is so sweet! I love the way you paced the story, and weaved dialogue from the game together with your own subplot. This makes the line, "Evil does not worry about not being good," pack so much extra punch. It's always been my favorite way to reassure Leliana in DAO and here it just made my heart ache, just a little, in the best possible way.

Over the course of DA:I, we see Leliana make some pretty big mistakes: she neglects to check Solas' story properly, but he is the only expert on the Fade, so that's an excuse.

 

Blackwall's story though... She was fricking there. She knew exactly how many Wardens were in Ferelden during the Blight: three: the HoF, Alistair and Riordan. How can she have not have immediately clued in that something was wrong?

 

And then there's the aftermath of Iron Bull's personal quest if you save the Chargers: two assassins are sent after him, and not very good ones judging by the result of the attempt. How did they get past her security? If she has any, really.

 

I headcanon that the stress of her job is catching up with her and that's why she has those epic screw ups. (provided you do all of these before her personal quest, because then it makes less sense...)
