Given the events of the game, the joke has gone from 'making fun of your title' to 'reminding you of your friend/mentor who died horribly not long ago.'

Previously, Leliana has said that magic is a gift of the Maker and that it's right for them to use their abilities. I don't think we're going to get Fenris 2.0 out of her.

It's always possible that it clicked in her mind that everything bad that happened during her time with the warden was a mage ruining everything as always

Brecillian Forest = mage throwing a tantrum

Redcliffe = mage being stupid + mage kid not being trained like he should

Circle = mages throwing tantrum because their lifetime of free food, shelter and education doesn't include a vacation plan

Blight in general = mages are jackasses

Orzammar was the only exception but I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out Branka was the first dwarf mage

Wynne is the awesomest motherlike character in all DA series. I recall her and Lelianna chatting in DAO and oh my Maker - I simply melted due to all warm sweetness

Could you please take your mage-hatred elsewhere? Thank you.

It's relevant to the discussion about how Leliana has finally realized that mages spread disaster everywhere they go

No, it's not. To me it seems like you took this opportunity to blame a lot of Ferelden's problems during the Blight on mages. Nothing more.

We don't know exactly how Leliana feels. We've only heard she holds a grudge against mages (and/or Dorian) in Inquisition after her capture and torture by mages, but we don't know for how long.

So if she wasn't romanced by the Warden, then how come she don't wannna get it on with The Inquisitor?

Why does there need to be a reason?  Perhaps it's simply "she's not interested?"

But.... but.... have you looked at my beautifully created Inquisitor? Every member of the Inquisition would fall for her.

I doubt she'll go from accepting mages, thinking magic is a gift of the maker, and being friends with a mage to believing they're walking disasters.

We're likely to see her become far more serious about the need to control mages in general. We might see her emotionally lash out at mages she knows (which would be interesting, we've rarely seen her angry) but that's a natural way to deal with fresh grief and pain.

Fenris is more a long-term festering.

What a novel concept.  A bisexual woman does not have to be interested in every protagonist that comes along?   :o

And then Zevran comes over and asks her the same thing, and they have a go at it right in front of you as you stand there awkwardly.

Asking if you can join in gets a 'Hm, nah.' from both of them.

*enters thread* Fifty-eight pages... TL;DR.

With that in mind, does anyone know if she goes by Leliana or Sister Nightengale this time around? I mean, I'm sure she uses both depending on context, but as a general rule among the Inquisition, which is more common?

Neither. She goes by Spymaster now.

I guess it depends on whether or not we're strictly professional in our interactions this time. Though the fake name might not have much of a point when she's working for you.

In pretty much all of her appearances as Nightingale, it seems she tries to go by that until the other person figures out who she is and she grudgingly lets them call her Leliana. :S

...that's actually hotter than the Inquisitor just having sex with her.

Gonna guess we call her Leliana. It seems silly for your boss/friend to address you by your secret agent name while you're chilling at the Keep.

I view it as a handle or a callsign.  Leliana is Sister Nightingale when she's on a mission, when she's actively hunting, when she requires subterfuge and has to use a name in business dealings and between other professionals.  When she's not 'on the clock,' when she doesn't need to be an agent first, she's just Leliana.

So, in Inquisition, I imagine we'll be calling her Leliana most often, and how she'll be referring to herself at the Keep.

I'm guessing she'll probably start off as Sister Nightengale when she's first mentioned in the game, but sometime during or after her recruitment mission she'll reveal her real name

On another note, I wonder how extensive our interaction with her can be. Even if she is not romance material this time around, the fact that we can romance an advisor (Cullen, in this case) makes me think that it will be possible to have fairly personal conversations with them. I'd like my Inquisitor to at least be friends with Leliana. I can't wait to get my hands on the sound files. I'll put all of Leliana's dialogue on my Ipod and listen to her while I fall asleep.

I sure hope it'll be possible. I mean, if you want to bring metagaming into this, Leliana's a character we, as players, have known on a personal level since Origins, so if BioWare were to treat her like she's an NPC the Inquisitor only has discussions with related to what he/she does in the story, I'll be disappointed.

Judging from what has been said on this thread, you might want to reverse that. The Inquisitor wants Leliana, but she doesn't want the Inquisitor. You think it's the glowy green hand thingy? I mean, tainted blood is one thing, but a glowing green hand? A girl has to have standards. ;)

Edit: Inquisitor pick up line: Hey, I'd like to seal your tear, baby.

That seems like the wrong way to send a message.

Like I said earlier, Leliana just prefers the silent PCs. It offers certain advantages.
