I'm curious to see how Bioware gets around the whole murdered Leliana at the ruined temple thing.
I don't really understand the love for her character. She is a religious fanatic who believes that she receives visions from God.

That makes her interesting.
A quasi-medieval setting where everyone is relatively secular and has modern skeptical attitudes towards religion would be boring, quite frankly. Also Leliana lives in a universe where the supernatural is known to exist. She's fought demons, seen magic, and experienced the Fade. That a supernatural entity like the Maker might exist in a universe where the supernatural is known to exist (and in Leliana's case...has been experienced first hand), isn't that preposterous.
In Exile explained it pretty well.
It is an indisputable fact that Andraste's Ashes have healing power, because we see them heal Eamon. They were either imbued with this power by the Maker, the massive lyrium lode around the temple or some other source. Whether or not the Ashes are destroyed, the original source of that healing power is unaffected and could thus raise Leliana.

She's one of the kindest characters in the setting despite all the crap she's been put through. And she's very un-fanatical despite having very strong religious beliefs.
Judging from what has been said on this thread, you might want to reverse that. The Inquisitor wants Leliana, but she doesn't want the Inquisitor. You think it's the glowy green hand thingy? I mean, tainted blood is one thing, but a glowing green hand? A girl has to have standards.
Edit: Inquisitor pick up line: Hey, I'd like to seal your tear, baby.

Oh, and the glowing green hand-thing doesn't have to be a problem.

(It's a turn-signal)

Very true. She's constantly trying to make friends with Sten and Morrigan despite them having views and beliefs completely different from her own and even when they treat her own views with disdain. That is not the attitude of a fanatic.

Funny thing, that's how I used to feel about her. Then I started looking below the surface and discovered that there is a lot more to her than that. She carries amazing amounts of pain with her, yet she carries it with remarkable aplomb. She's courageous and devoted, but she is also very, very messed up. The crazy is just part of her charm. ![]()
Wasn't it also implied she commits suicide if unhardened+romanced+Warden dies?
Yes though I don't take many of those epilogues seriously. Since a lot clearly didn't happen. I see them more as hearsay and rumors than anything.

That is how some people interpreted that epilogue screen, but it's never stated as such and the epilogue screens are not "canon" anyway. If they were, Cullen would be a serial killer and Anders would still be with the Wardens.

Wait, Cullen would be a.... wait, what?!
Yeah it's been stated the epilogue screens have to be interpreted as rumour. Otherwise, there would be a lot of continuity problems between Dragon Age II and Awakening's epilogue slides.
Since when killing Mages is a crime >.>

Some of them are canon.
They are canon until contradicted by later in-game content.

If I were to type "Since when is killing farmers a crime", would that be something you'd agree with?
Also, please don't fuel an anti-mage war here.
Wait, Cullen would be a.... wait, what?!
“The young templar Cullen never quite recovered from his ordeal. After months of attempting to convince his superiors that the tower was still a danger, he finally snapped and killed three apprentices before being stopped by his fellow templars. Eventually, Cullen escaped from prison, a madman and a threat to any mage he encountered.”

Oh, wow.... I never knew that.
*fingers crossed for a homicidal, fan-angering Cullen in DA:I*

Why do I like Leliana. She's very good at detecting traps. She is very helpful when it comes to opening chests. She is very good in combat whether its with a bow or two daggers/swords and my favorite, she's a redhead that can sing
One last thing. She is such a bada** that she could be a squadmate in ME.

Dirty thought of the day: that arrow Leliana took to the shoulder... it has to be taken out, but we can't use her shoulder for support while we yank it out so... chest area below the shoulder? Yes, that would do. (sorry, gutter mind is hyper active today.)

Oh my, dual pistols. That would kick serious a**!
Say, if DA had a crossover with another game's universe, in which one would you most like to see Leliana? She'd do great in Tamriel, of course, but I wonder how she would fare in Ivalice or Columbia.

I've never heard of Ivalice and if you mean Columbia from Bioshock, then I say she would do well in Columbia. She would look good wearing the dresses that is seen in the game.
Leliana in the world of Dishonoured would be awesome. Plus, if you're interesting enough, the Outsider will actually talk to you and put his mark on you (which gives you magic powers). Given the games focus on assassination and spycraft, I'd think Leliana would do quite well for herself.
The mime thing is a huge turn on.
I mean, just imagine it during the moments of intimacy...
if a mime c**s in a bard does it make a sound?
