Imo, the character who has the most potential to die in this DLC is the Inquisitor themselves...I don't know why I feel that way...

I wonder if we'll actually get some closure on Hawke/The Warden in this DLC since it's pretty heavily hinted that the next game is going north. I don't know why Bioware won't want to wrap up the previous heroes' storyline since this DLC seems to be the finalest final adventure for the Inquisitor.

Since we'll be able to chat up both Varric and Leliana there's a chance there will be a dialogue option (provided Warden and Hawke are alive ofc) along the lines : Hey, is Hawke back from Weisshaupt yet/how's life in Kirkwall, did the Warden succeed in their quest/are they on business in Ferelden?, etc.

One interesting thing I realized is that Leliana is the only romanceable companion from Origins who is friends with the Warden and is still in contact with them, while Alistair sort of speaks about the Warden with disdain especially if they did the DR and Morrigan only says how grateful she is to the Warden but only if they allowed her to do her Ritual.

As if Inquisition din't already clearly point it out, Varric/Leliana are the only characters left that connect us with the previous heroes.

I didn't see the trailer (I want to keep the surprise) but I do feel the same way... Just yesterday as I heard Xenon telling my inquisitor if he could keep his hand when he dies when I entered the Black Emporium,  I thought that BW could not let such a powefull playable character live, so I'm guessing that either he would die or get his anchor removed

I also hope that we'll get a closure for all past stories including the Warden or Hawke or at least a clear glimpse of what will happen to them (something more than just the vague "he's somewhere, doing something, he's busy, you can leave a message" that could fit everything of course). I don't care how it is told or what it's told as long as it make sense and take previous choices into account. (for instance, I really enjoyed the letter from Leliana in Awakening, even if it was almost nothing...we knew what she was doing and we could feel that the relationship was still going on and it was enough for me)

As for Leliana (I understand that she will have some importance in the new DLC), I really hope that we'll get more details about her and the Warden, what we had in Inquisition was, well... very light. She totally forgets about her lover when thinking about becoming a Devine, she couldn't find the Warden when looking for him/her with Cassandra... It would be good to have something more elaborate too.

*sigh* 'Looks like a lot of non-main-story related things for such a DLC... I can dream.

I'd be happy with just a codex entry or mention.

Might have ended up reporting back to Weishauppt if they did return, too. I'd rather the Warden be involved off-screen in this Warden civil war thing than be lost in the west until the end of time.

Maybe she did set off with the Warden but after hearing about this whole Qunari invasion and the fact that the Inquisition is in a risk of being wiped out she left the Warden to help the Inquisitor for the last time.

In a recent tweet the devs said all the companions/advisers will have closure, some funny, some heartfelt and others depending heavily on personal quest decisions...

Yeah, would make sense that perhaps they might have gotten tangled up with the situation at Weisshaupt, since the Warden never was good at staying out of trouble when they could help it.

Either that or they're still searching for a Cure (seriously, did anyone expect it to be easy) or they decided to report back with what little they've discovered thus far, only to be a tad miffed to learn that Weisshaupt has since replaced them with another Warden-Commander in Ferelden during the interim, as was briefly mentioned in Last Flight.

I would not want to be in the room when the Warden learns they've been replaced, I'd probably refuse to tell them anything cure related out of spite!

Hello folks, haven't been to this thread for awhile now. All aboard the hype train for the ending! :D

Agreed on the Inquisitor here, I'm getting serious Witch Hunt vibes from this whole thing, except that this time around I see the player getting hypothetically stabbed instead. What's worse, I suspect Solas has plans for the Inquisitor because of the Anchor.

As for the Warden and Hawke, getting some closure on the Warden might be possible through Leliana (JUST DO IT BIOWARE), whereas with Hawke I don't see it happening. Weisshaupt is sure to be something that they'll get to in the next game. Still, I remain skeptical we'll get anything meaningful about the Warden in this final venture.

Anyhow, looking forward to seeing what Leliana and the rest of the cast will have to say about the recent events :D

And then through a miraculous chain of events, the HoF somehow becomes the new First Warden. Replace that, Wardens.

...I actually kind of want this to happen. Obviously it wouldn't be an ideal ending for all Wardens, but damnit it'd be badass. :S

There are two moments in the series that seem weird in the scenario where you haven't romanced Leliana.

In DAO, she starts singing at the camp and then suddenly does it while looking at the Warden directly, like she's singing for him/her.

And Cullen's line about Leliana having a thing for wardens doesn't make sense either.

It's been made pretty much canon even by those who haven't romanced Leliana that she develops feelings for the Warden regardless whether you flirt with her or not. Same with Alistair with a female Warden. Or Anders with Hawke. Or Cullen with female Inquisitor. Or Liara and Tali from ME. The list goes on...It's a running trend in Bioware games for there to be that one companion that canonically has a crush on you.

I doubt that is in case, considering cullen says that regardless of world state and the warden can decide to not recruit , kill her or she could leave if warden corrupted ashes what in 2 cases makes her not a biggest fan to put it lightly. If i recall cullen says more or less that leliana has blind spot when it comes to grey wardens what could simply mean being uniformed about them.

I don't think it is a matter of being "uninformed" but yes, it might be respect towards the Order in general.

I think we're going to witness the last days of the Inquisition, it wouldn't surprise me if they were the Inquisitor's last days as well. Of course I hope they'll just peacefully disband it after the Qunari threat (and whatever Solas is up to) is dealt with and go retire somewhere quiet with their LI.

And Cullen's line about Leliana having a thing for wardens doesn't make sense either.

If you're referring to his "Even Leliana has sort of a blind spot when it comes to Wardens" line I don't think he was talking about the HoF. He says that to defend Leliana when the Inquisitor blurts out "Leliana knew this all along, didn't she?" after discovering Blackwall's real identity. I think Cullen just meant that the Grey Wardens are such a secretive organization that not even a skilled spymaster like Leliana can uncover all the truth about them.

However if you have a romanced Leliana then you can easily interpretive that it was about HoF.

I'll have to agree with Ladystoneheart.

No you're not. I want the Inquisition to become something like a Private Military Company; doing contracting work to provide logistics, support, and defense for all of Thedas.
