Well, guess that means all loose ends are tied with Leliana. Her character has come full circle.
And I'm glad her romance with the HOF is concluded for both sides, Divine or Spymaster. I gotta hand it to Weekes and Sheryl, they really did it well. You can see they really took some time to conclude the romance in a nice way and stayed true to what they said about Leliana's romance on twitter after Inquisition released.
Some thought they were just joking about Divine Leliana marrying the Warden or ever finishing her romance. They could've easily not bothered at all with it saying it would be unfair to Morrigan/Alistair/Zevran romancers or even given us a half-assed codex entry about the HOF in the DLC.
And I love how they expanded on the advisers' relationship in the DLC. It's canon. Leliana/Cullen/Josie broOTP FTW. It's even more hilarious how if she's Divine she gets pissed at them for calling her Most Holy. The Inquisitor can even troll her about it...

Well said, her story is done. I don't think we'll be seeing her in DA4, and I wouldn't want that either.
From the slide I got mentioning that Leliana was grooming successors for the dangers yet to come, I got the impression that this was a way for Bioware to possibly expand upon Harding as a companion/advisor figure in the next game.

I can definitely see Harding as a companion in the next game.
While I doubt we'll see Cass and Leliana playing an active role in DAIV, I'm pretty sure we'll have one companion who'll be secretly working and sharing intel with Quizzy/Cass/Leliana. All three of them seem pretty warmed up about finding Solas. I wouldn't mind seeing the Inquisitor as an important NPC in the next game as well.

Ha! I just played this part ![]()
I'm not even halfway through but so far I'm loving this DLC. I'll save further judgment for when it's actually over.
I don't think I'll ever be able to say "I don't want to see Leliana in future games", but it's nice to know that if she doesn't return she'll have her happy ending.

Personally I figured Bioware were intending to leave behind the South and most of it's characters behind when they move on to the North, with the exception of a few characters that make sense. Dorian in particular comes to mind for me. As such I was always skeptical to the people wanting Harding as a companion, and yet now it's very plausible. ![]()
I'm definitely enjoying it too, here's hoping the Inquisitor will be some kind of advisor to the next PC

http://blog.bioware....ge-inquisition/
If you wandered into the Writer’s Pit while Inquisition was in full swing, you probably would’ve seen seven writers (and one editor) with headphones on, eyes fixed on monitors, typing furiously. Most of the writing happens when we can shut out the rest of the world and immerse ourselves fully in the story and characters. For many of us, this requires music. Often the music we listen to informs and even inspires what we write.
So, what was coming through those headphones when we wrote Dragon Age: Inquisition?
Sheryl Chee writer of Blackwall and Leliana
My characters’ voices don’t really establish themselves firmly until I’ve written one or two conversations for them. While I often have a good idea of their arc and personality, how they express themselves usually takes some poking around.
Music often helps get me into the right mindset, so when I set out in the early stages of planning and writing a character, I begin by building a playlist that evokes a certain mood. For instance, Leliana’s playlist is sweetly melancholic, with occasional moments of self-indulgent gloom and anger. Though it starts off with A Perfect Circle’s “The Noose,” it’s otherwise dominated by female voices like Suzanne Vega, Tori Amos, Anna Ternheim, Laura Veirs, Poe, and iamamiwhoami.
Blackwall was a bit of a special snowflake, and I ended up with two separate playlists by the time Inquisitionreached its final stages. From the start I knew that I needed a classic rock playlist for a certain furious energy that I find reflected in songs by Cream, Rush, and Led Zeppelin. His second playlist, on the other hand, was extremely eclectic, running a gamut of genres from folksy Americana to electronica. These songs, chosen mainly for their lyrics, came from artists including The Civil Wars, Kate Bush, Grizzly Bear, and Blaqk Audio, and were used as inspiration for the writing of his personal story.
For wildernesses and codex entries, I would usually listen to whatever fit my mood at the time. However, generally the more work I had to get done and the less time I had to do it in, the louder and faster the music got. There was a phase when I was listening to nothing but electronic body music. Then there was the time I was writing combat barks for Multiplayer. That was done to “Timber,” by Pitbull and Ke$ha on repeat.
It got the job done.

Hee! Leliana and her nugs... (minor spoilers)
On the subject of Leliana and nugs, if you find the Nug King in The Descent, does she have a reaction at all?

I've been watching Trepasser on YT. Bae looks ridiculous with that hat on. I doubt I would have ever saw her in it in any of my playthroughs because I never made her Divine.

*smirk* some form of hip hop influenced a part of this game I see.

To be fair, the Divine's headpiece is like mage hats: it's going to look awful, no matter who's wearing it. Not even Leliana can redeem such a horrid article of clothing, and she could make a burlap sack look good.
Just finally finished updating my Origins novelization The Grey Path, after a bit of a struggle. Not so much Leliana this time around, but she and the Warden have a few moments. Hope you enjoy! Here's a sample:

I think no matter the character of the warden , will steer towards wiesshaupt, teaming up with Hawke and solvethe warden conflict. so which will be resolved in DA4.

To be honest, I wouldn't mind if the Warden or Leliana appear in DAIV. Their epilogue was written in a way that whoever appears in the next game won't imply that they've broken up or are separated again. The way Leliana's epilogues and romance play out it seems to me her writers aren't ready to write her off yet.
The ending of Trespasser kind of implies this won't be the last time we see or hear about Quizzy, Cass, Leliana or Harding. For Cassandra and Leliana at most, I see them having a cameo in the next game the same way Hawke did. They're present for one mission and that's it.
I can see the Inquisitor as an important NPC/ mentor-figure to the next PC. It wouldn't feel right if we get a final confrontation with Solas and the Inquisitor isn't present. There's too much history between them. Solavellan especially.
The Warden might get an off-screen presence in the game. We get to hear through ambient dialogue or codex entries that they are doing business in Weisshaupt or are fighting a Warden Civil War or dealing with the Cure, etc.

Well I'd much rather have them move forward with all new characters but who knows.
About the stinger
In a change of subject something about the silly Divine outfit bothers me. I think it's the forehead causing her to look a tad off compared to the others with how the hat fits. Or it might be that I'm so used to seeing her hair and hair style that the absence of it throws me off. I don't know.
Anyways here's some smiles

Anyone do a playthrough with high-approval Vivienne while Leliana was Divine Victoria? In the playthrough I did Trespasser I didn't recruit her. How is she in that? Does she tell you she's going to start her own Circle?

Yeah, I agree.
Tbh, it would seem pretty out of character for both Cass and Leliana to just settle down with their LI and say they've done their best with Solas. They've been fighting for the greater good their entire lives, I'd say it's become a habit for both of them that doesn't die easily.
I wouldn't be surprised if Bioware decide to bring them back for DAIV again as important NPCs. Maybe Cass and Leliana were always meant to be the main female characters of DA. Both of them have been around since the first games, they both have a DLC/short movie about their backstory. The writers have fleshed them out so much, we know everything about their lives.
I wouldn't mind seeing Merrill or Fenris or any DAII companion appear in the next game, heck, maybe even Zevran. I love Morrigan, but if it were up to me, it would've been Merrill who had Morrigan's role in DAI. I like to think Bioware are saving Merrill for DAIV.

Well considering how even if she's Divine she is still at the ending planning to face Solas, I'd say that she has a pretty good chance of at least being mentioned in the fight against Solas.
