Unless they have a sudden change of heart I kind of doubt the Warden is ever showing up in the flesh again. I just hope they have something to do off-screen now that they're back in Thedas. I'm not sure I'd believe my Warden would just twiddle her thumbs while the world goes to crap again.

They'll send the DA4 protagonist another Amulet of Health.

Still kinda salty about that. Warden should have sent back something cool. Like Starfang. Surely s/he's found something better since then. :S

We still have the warden conflict in the north, but i hope at least that if the warden gets some references is something about stopping the blight once and for all, for instance: there are something worse and bigger going on than the qunari and solas, IF those two last archdemons wakes up Everything we have fought for will be for nothing

Wonder what that ending would mean for her in any potential future appearances though.
not that I even get what it means
Is she like a lyrium zombie?
Did she get Wynne'd?
Is she not even the original Leliana at that point, just got Cole'd?
wut
Well given that lyrium is involved this could have more to do with what happened to Valta and Renn in the Deep Roads.
I think she always was herself, we never had any reason to suspect otherwise. She may have lied when she said she didn't know what happened to her at the Temple, or she may have come to understand her situation over time and decided to distance herself from people to keep them from discovering the truth. Anyway, whatever kept her alive all these years I'd say it is on "our" side, considering what it has allowed her to do for us. And she did say she would come back if needed, so I doubt she's "finally dead" or gone for good.
That part about her becoming distant and secluding herself in the rookery really saddens me, though. I can imagine Josie and Cassandra worrying for her and going to her chambers just to find that note. ![]()

I hope The Warden won't appear again, if s/he do they will have a tragic ending.
Off-screen things and mentions are not that bad.

wait a second
what
It's official. Lyrium-ghost!Leliana is the saddest character of DA. Especially if she was romanced by the HOF. Imagine, she first gets betrayed by Marjolaine in the worst way possible then when she meets the HOF and let's herself fall in love again, thinking that she can finally be happy, she is betrayed again by her lover and left to die. The saddest part about her being a lyrium-ghost is that she probably doesn't know that she actually died back at the Temple.
There was this really heartbreaking post on tumblr about the lyrium bringing her back so she can fulfill her purpose and an interesting theory if she wasn't killed in Origins and was romanced. I agree with the poster, tbh. The fact Leliana changed the chastity rules because she can't bear to lose her Warden just shows how much she loves them. Even after countless separations because of their duty.

But is her purpose really fulfilled now, with another (maybe bigger) threat ahead?
Anyway whether she is still alive (and inevitably linked to the Titans) or an actual ghost I hope she left Skyhold to go find the "Hero" who put her in this mess (if they didn't do the US) and haunt them for a while, until we need her back to deal with Solas.

Actually, she does.
And if the epilogue of Trespasser is any indication, by the end she knows she is no longer human.
Now imagine if Lyrium!Leliana joined forces with a Morrigan who drank from the Well of Sorrows and was stabbed by the Warden in Witch Hunt... I hope that Warden died fighting the Archdemon...

Plus siding with the werewolves, letting Connor, Zevran and Whyne die, allowing Anora to kill Alistair and sacrificing Loghain to the Archdemon:
The Ultimate Jerk.

Actually, I was thinking about Leliana and Morrigan going after him for revenge. Hence why he would be lucky to be dead. On their own they are pretty vicious, but together? *shudder*

I think that Warden might as well say "Oh, yeah, uh, uhm, Calling, ladies, sorry gotta go die in the Deep Roads now..."
and disappear to do just that rather than face them.

"The Hero of Ferelden". *laughs* There are no heroes in real life, just people. And people can do terrible things. Like strucking me down, for example. It's hard not to bear a grudge.
Sweet, sweet revenge. Yes please. ![]()
It would also be interesting if, for example, we (as the Inquisitor or as a new PC) ended up back into the Deep Roads and she guided us out of trouble like Justinia's spirit helped us in the Fade. They both died at the Temple under particular circumstances, after all. Oh the irony...

For added points, the temple was where Andraste's ashes were kept.

I didn't count the ashes because technically they were defiled by the jerk!Warden (which is why Leliana freaks out), doesn't that make them useless?

Technically, but Andraste became a symbol and inspired both Justinia and Leliana, so it counts?

Kolgrim tells you it will, but who knows. None of the cultists were ever able to get to the ashes, so it's probably guess work on their part.

Ok, let's count them too then. I guess it would be even better if Leliana "resurrected" thanks to the not-really-defiled Ashes. Who knows what dragon blood can do to them after all ![]()

It's worth making her Divine just to see her getting annoyed by being called Most Holy, Your Holiness, etc.
I totally headcanon my Warden teasing her the same way just to see her get slightly annoyed. Especially during lovey-dovey time. ![]()
Warden : Are you satisfied, Your Holiness?
Leliana : -.-'
Warden : Do you have any other wish I can fulfill Most- *slap*
And then the next day one of the Chantry sisters can't stop wondering why Divine Victoria blushes every time someone calls her Your Holiness.
