Not to mention her tendency to ninja!mance the Warden. Leli just wants to be loved.
Ninjamancing? I got ninjamanced by Alistair like... Ten time. My Leliana romace wasn't a ninja romance, it was 100% on purpose, lol.

The beautiful thing about the DAO - DAI period is that it is completely open to headcannons. So while the Warden and Leliana are married to their jobs, there is nothing in lore that forbids them from meeting up every month or from sending love letters to each other regularly.
I personally prefer the male Warden over the female Warden for Leliana because her previous lover was a female and she hurt Leliana badly. So its sort of poetic and symbolic to have her fall for a male Warden after that whole debacle with Marjolaine.
ROMANCING MORRIGAN.
Don't know how people can romance her honestly. She is not the kind of person that is suitable for an LTR.
Gender doesn't matter to Leliana except for that one scene in DAI where she goes "Y'know, I miss the Hero of Ferelden, but sometimes I'm glad to have a little distance between me and her. The lesbian thing gets a little tiring and sometimes I really wish the Warden was a dude."

LTR?
Long term relationship.
Yeah, there's nothing wrong with the Morrigan romance; it's a close second to Leliana's. Indeed, the Origins romances are all pretty good, and there's not a weak one in the bunch. Morrigan's not bad, and for all the grief I give Inquisition, I will say she was one of the best-written characters in the game. Leliana's merely better
.

Love this picture. I got it from DA Confessions and I plan to use it next time someone says Leliana is somehow bad or evil when she is hardened or wrong for changing the laws as Divine.
Personally, though I love Leliana and think her romance was great, and handled well in Inquisition, I got the most feels from Morrigan with a dark ritual warden who followed her through the eluvian in Witch Hunt.
The point about Morrigan in Origins is that she's initially up for some fun, but actually starts to push you away as she feels herself drawn to you. The warden doesn't realise why but it's because she knows what she must do later. It's an entirely different dynamic to Leliana's romance and I think that's a good thing. One might say that Leliana is troubled by her past while Morrigan is troubled by her future... Anyway, to find Morrigan essentially the same but softened by motherhood and speaking so fondly of the warden in DAI really moved me. Then again, if one includes Trespasser, it is nice to see that Leliana and a romanced warden seem to have a happy future together, whether or not she's divine.
I guess both are well handled, so it's a question of which one you have stronger feelings for. For me, Morrigan just wins out, but it's a close run thing and i can quite see why others would feel differently. For a variety of reasons, Morrigan's romance isn't for everyone.

I've never seen anyone argue that but they are way off if they do lol. Most of her law changes are to help other groups she's not a part of and put her own life at risk from assassins. Hardened Leliana just kills those fools.
I found DA:O Leliana to be too creepy as a LI. DA:I... she's actually worse. You could make a good case for her being a homicidal schizophrenic, but hey... some people dig crazy psycho killers.

Yes. Honestly, the people hardened Leliana purge from the Chantry are people that has benefited from its crimes and tyranny their whole life. Not sorry to see any of them go. Being a priest doesn't make you innocent, especially if that priesthood is part of a power structure like the Chantry.
Psycho killer? Qu'est-ce que c'est?I found DA:O Leliana to be too creepy as a LI. DA:I... she's actually worse. You could make a good case for her being a homicidal schizophrenic, but hey... some people dig crazy psycho killers.
I'd hardly call being bard a psycho killer.
Remember that people in Orlais are well aware of what bards do but treat this as an art and profession. When in Rome...
As I've long stated, the Blight is not just a disease spread by contact with darkspawn bodily fluids; if that were the case, darkspawn could just throw jugs of their own blood at the enemy and they'd be unstoppable. The Blight is a metaphysical affliction. That's why it saps the life out of the environment and the skies themselves darken in the presence of an army of darkspawn. That's also why the rate of infection is so variable and why some seem more susceptible than others.
I think strength of will actually plays a role in resisting the Blight. That's why the "larger than life" types like Renn can spend years fighting darkspawn without being tainted.

oh no no, of course not. I'm clearly wrong. She's not a psycho killer. She's just someone on a mission from god who readily kills people... Obviously she is quite sane... ![]()
How did Ser Wesley and Hawke's sibling get tainted, then?
Lack of willpower to resist the corruption after they came into contact with darkspawn. Same as everybody else.
We can't treat the Blight strictly like a disease. It's not. No plague ever made the sky turn black and turned the local wildlife into mutated horrors.
I always enjoy it when my jokes are answered by sarcasm based on an absurdly reductionist caricature.
You could try to run, run, run, run, run, run, run away. ![]()

Yet her romance worked out pretty nicely. In a way, Morrigan's romance was comparable to Jack's in ME2 in the sense that it came abruptly for her, causing her to fall for the Warden without having foreseen it. That was just how it was set up so it was never going to appeal to everyone. I personally liked it a lot.
They were given a reason to live, I guess. And yet Carver/Bethany had the willpower to survive the Joining.
