My point is it's possible regardless of her LI status. The fact that she's not a LI in DA:I also doesn't make it any easier.

Also, has blood magic been confirmed for DA:I? I haven't been following info about class specializations

Actually, it's been denied. Which is why I don't know if I want to play a blood mage in DAO anymore, as it clearly has issues with party reactions...

I thought they were doubts about her own path in life, not her religion.

I do harden her, but only because I want a threesome...

1. Well, if you consider that her religion is a path in life...

2. For shame!

Alternatively, we have Ravagers for warriors. A spec in which you eat people.

I bet not ONE of the companions will ever remark on that.

Not really; she's just as religious regardless of whether she's a bard or a sister.

Do you mean Reavers? Or did the name change?

Did we ever get an official explanation to that? I hope they explain that in DA:I at least.

It'd be interesting if they went the Wynne route with a spirit which could possibly explain her dream as well without the whole maker route.

Yeah, I just did a quick google search, and this article says that Reavers can 'eat the misery of rivals'. Whatever that means.

40px-Devour_DA2.png DEVOUR - The Reaver tears into an enemy, consuming its life force to heal the Reaver.

Devours upgrades are Voracious and Insatiable.

In DA:O, it talks about Reavers feasting upon the corpses of their enemies to regain life.

Hehehe...That symbol is just... Pfff hohoho! So if you pick Reaver you essentially become Alex Mercer lite?

I really would have to wonder what the reactions of Hawke's companions would be the first time you use that in a fight...

My Warrior Hawke was a Reaver.

They didn't seem phased by it :P

At least Revear!Hawke does this to enemies.  Blood Mage!Hawke does it to companions.

I never thought you are literally eating them, though.  I always took the 'devour' ability as some sort of blood magic (like all the Reaver abilities).

Well, it technically is, it's just that you use your teeth instead of a staff. *snerk*

Look at the words used to describe the healing ability: devour, consume, insatiable, feat upon, tear into. Then the icon is that of teeth.

You could argue that it's subtext, or that it's meant to be figurative cannibalism, not literal. I'd say it's strongly implied though.

Given that the otherwise conceptually similar Grave Robber spell doesn't use any of that, I'd say you have a point. I just... can't imagine it not looking ridiculous in combat.

Hawke the Cannibal.

Varric left that part out of his tales :P

Back to Leliana...I guess I could make a crude 'eating' joke since this is page 69...

I'm sure some people could pull it off.

Letting Reaver!Warden go down on her is the sexual version of the trust fall.

And I get modded for talking about a blood mage on her period...

Okay, I have to write this.

But it'll have to be in DA2, as you can't canonically become a Reaver in DAO without defiling the Urn of Sacred Ashes.

As long as the Warden doesn't become grievously injured during the process, there should be nothing to worry about...right?

In high school, they made us form a circle and do a sort of trust fall where they push you from person to person.

They dropped me.

Several times.

I got a thread deleted for asking about that. Then Mary answered it in meatspace because Mary is awesome.

The blood is 'dead' and so has no energy. You can't use it for magic.

So does that mean, if you were Leliana, you wouldn't let a ReaverWarden go down on you?

Okay, I've always wondered about this.

My day is complete and Mary is awesome.
