This thread and the Dorian reveal has gotten me so jazzed that I've started on my Dragon Age scifi story starring Agent Nightengale.

I know but I was bored waiting until I could watch the Legend of Korra premiere, and I hadn't had a good meaningless debate about Leliana since around the time DA2 came out and some people were calling her anti-mage for being pro-chantry.

Yeah, I have the tendency to stand on things to make myself taller when playing an elf.

 

Though, elves seem taller now (Sera is as tall as Leliana in the group pic).  If the elven Warden shows up, is she going to be Leliana's height now?  This is important stuff to wonder about.

eee no? there was plenty things i agreed so well that i disagree with you doesn't mean with everyone difference is that that when you agree with someone there is no much discussion on that topic so it can be barely visible and when you disagree well...

Merrill was closer to Female Hawke's height from what I recall but still shorter.

Some cutscenes inexplicably stretched the elven Warden out to human height, though. I guess most of us have just headcanoned it away as standing on a stump as demonstrated above. :S

The animators make the human scene and then when they do the elf one, they have the PC hover off the ground to match the human PC's height. It saves time by not having to constantly adjust the camera angle and where Leliana is looking.

If, for example, a human PC touched Leliana's shoulder then an elf PC using the same animation would pull a Fenris and each inside Leliana's boob.

I expect to see a ton of scenes in DA:I where my quanri Inquisitor suddenly sinks a foot into the floor.

I don't know if this is a different animation (heck, probably from a mod I have somewhere in there.) but it seems to accurately portray the height difference.

 

 

 

Looking at it now, I think it's Alistair's animation. She seems to stand on her toes a bit at the end.

Modded... Leliana's hair, the Warden's hair, the Warden's armor, Sten's armor (and hair), Leliana's armor, and the swords.

I think after that first kiss when she declares her love in camp, you can't kiss her again and you can't kiss her outside of camp at all. This might be different for an m/f relationship though.

Yeah, I just checked, it's from the Mild Romance Scenes mod. I've lost track of what I have installed at this point. :S

 

And yeah, that's what enables you to initiate it outside of camp. Vanilla, only Morrigan and Alistair seem to have had that for some reason. Though...I couldn't tell you if you can in a m/f Leliana romance. I've never done that before. :S

I'm not fond of most appearance mods, but I've always liked those that gave leliana's hair more vibrancy. She seemed the type to appreciate a dash of not-entirely-natural color and a sharp hair cut.
