She's just going through a goth phase. Vampires are very popular in Thedas right now.

You've got to go for the mysterious hooded look if you're a spy. How else will people know what your job is?
Leliana is my favourite romance companion from DA:O(3rd overall, nobody can beat my Dwarven lifemates), though recently I did the previously unthinkable and killed her in Andraste's Temple. I did this for one reason, the hope that it will add more content to DA:I.
So I pose this question to fellow Leliana fans, do you think that her death will be significant to her character and add a fair bit of content, or will it be passed over with a cheesy line.
She would probably sooner dance with a man at the ball but it won't mean anything. Unless she's totally out now.But I wanna dance with her at the Ball

This costume doesn't feel very DA:O Lelianaish. I preferred the DA II look. I wonder what, if anything, this implies for her character.
She lost good taste in shoes? ![]()
I think they look good, but it is indeed a bit odd to see her wearing that kind.
It's possible Leli put her love for shoes aside for this conflict. Hopefully she'll go into a pretty dress at the end of the game.

Now you're just beign ridiculous. As if THAT would ever happen ![]()

It happen in DAO!
I wouldn't rule out the possibility that the boots are either an easter egg or just placeholder to be honest, it's not like the trailer is about the boots.
She never put on the fancy shoes I bought her from Tegrin either though, so maybe the whole 'pretty feet' things is just a cover for something else... Semi-confirmed conspiracy?
I wonder if Leliana will sing in this game like in DAO?
I'm sure she won't be a companion(if I'm wrong great) but it would be nice to hear her say "I can do that for you" when you try to open a chest.

Maybe she will sing songs from time to time if we give her a lute? NPC's will move around the camp afterall.
Intriguing! It may not be possible but I wonder if Zevran, depending on the world-state, might be a comrade in Leliana's group of spies and assassins? Maybe the Crows could potentially be an asset of some kind to the Inquisition?
Dude, stop. You're getting me hyped.
and man, its going to be good having Leliana back. Can't wait to see what all she has to say about her home country.
That dress was not pretty...It happen in DAO!
I'm also getting the sense that this implies some kind of character change in Leliana.

First post ever on here, yay.
I was so excited to see Leliana in the trailer! It was pretty obvious she was going to be in DA: I atleast to some extent, being the left hand of the divine and all. But i still got a huge smile on my face when she showed up.
Also, this isn't like a huge thing or anything, but a few people mentioned it was crows flying behind her in the trailer, but would it not be more symbolic if it were nightingales? Although it has been a few hours since i last saw the trailer, the birds were probably too big to be nightingales. Just thought that would be a cool touch is all ![]()
She does look really, really incredible in the new engine.
And ofcourse she is not romancable now
Bioware sure loves to troll.
She IS a seeker, in the trailer when she does her turn around motion, under the Hood is her Seeker's Armor

I thought the armor she was wearing in the trailer looked more like Inquisition armor. The logo's are quite similar so i could be wrong.
if you look closely at the shoulders, its the same armor worn in DA:2, only re-rendered and made of leather
