I'm glad to see that Sheryl Chee is returning as Leliana's writer, and that it seems that if we make an effort to befriend Leliana she might open up to us. That makes me happy. I can't wait for the game now. ^-^

Also the next time major info is released like that... please provide the link/source for everyone else so there is no confusion (also makes it easier for me to update the op)

I'm hoping if we befriend her, she will help me with my shoes.

I'm late on replying here but this is a reply to the start of the thread. I am actually for Leliana not being a romanceable character. Why? Well, given the last time fully played through DA:O with the story I rather enjoyed over the other play throughs it wouldn't make sense to have her be romanced again. I played a male, dalish who ended up romancing Liliana and who is killed at the end of the game... Given the final cut scene it makes perfect sense to me that she wouldn't be romanceable come Inquisition.

Off that, thank you for posting this. I'm glad to see her returning and have been excited about it since she first appeared in a trailer. As has been stated, I do hope she can be a good friend, she is still one of my favorite companions from DA:O.

I really hope Justinia dies at the beginning of the game.

I blame her for what is happening and chances are my Inquisitor will too once he learned the details of "Asunder". If the PC starts butting heads with the Divine or worse, trying to replace her or usurp some of her power, Leliana is not likely to appreciate it.

if that is what you got from reading Asunder then you completely missed the point. blaming one person for everything is damn near ignorant. if you just have to blame someone then blame Lambert.

My favorite gift, which might be that one, is the one where you have to use Leliana to unlock a chest in the Chantry (if not playing a rogue), effectively having her steal it from the Chantry... and then you give it to her as a gift.

I traveled miles around the keep to pick a bouquet of Andraste's grace... and look I got Schmooples a girlfriend!

I'm looking forward to what she says about the Warden if she does talk about the Warden.

I also wonder if you romance her, if she will say, like in DA2, she/he is dear to my heart?

I do not blame solely Justinia but I do believe she is the most responsible for the existance of the rebellion hence why my Inquisitor would not trust her on the Sun Burst Throne which would probably put him at odds with Leliana.

Besides, she sent her agents to kill people who worked for her. If she is not even loyal to her own men, how can the Inquisition, created apart from the Chantry, trust her?

She better say something. I'm not even looking to romance anyone this time around so I have to get my kicks some how...

I found it immediately.

The more I hear about the advisers/companions, the more I'm confused as to why I'm running the organization.

I think the Inquisitor is mostly there to be a symbol of hope. Alot of people will think he/she is a sign from the maker, so might as well make use of that opportunity.

Well, there's a lot of information, although not really new. It semi-confirms that Leliana will be in her "hardened" personality, no matter previous choices, and that it's very likely that Justinia will die at the beginning of the game.

Besides, she sent her agents to kill people who worked for her. If she is not even loyal to her own men, how can the Inquisition, created apart from the Chantry, trust her?

Given that Lambert was the first to disobey orders and tried to have the Divine's agents killed (ch6), I can't say I blame her. If the Lord Seeker is not even loyal to his own superior, how can the Divine trust him?

I think it's a pretty good bet that Justinia does at the beginning of the game and that Leliana is somewhat traumatised by the event, which is why she seems so much grimmer than we remember her, particularly since the Warden has gone missing too and even if you didn't romance her, they were good friends.  Wynne is also dead.   Poor Lelianna, it must feel as though all the people she was closest to have gone.

I notice that it says that as well as not always seeing eye to eye with Cassandra, she also has issues with Cullen.   Do you suppose that is because he is still a Templar or because he isn't?

It might just be a case of Leliana proposing sneaky solutions while Cullen and Cassandra tend to favour more direct options.

Also, Leliana probably doesn't count the Warden a good friend if the Warden killed her (or tried to)

I'm guessing Cullen wouldn't agree with the things Justinia supported in Asunder.  He's also like Cassandra and would favor direct action to subterfuge.

I think is this. Maybe the same will happen with Scribbles, but since she's the diplomacy and trade advisor, probably the arguments will be less heated.

Everyone has his or her past, so it would be a disservice to remind them of it every time. Let's see:

-Leliana: Former bard. That means spy and assassin. For fun, at the beginning.

-Cullen: Templar. Aren't they rebels?

-Cassandra: Seeker. Aren't they rebels too?

-Vivienne: Circle mage. Yes, rebels.

-Dorian: Tevinter Magister. That should say everything.

-Cole: Spirit. If that wasn't enough, a murderer.

-Iron Bull: Qunari agent. Fomer member of the state police.

-Sera: Member of a criminal gang.

That's why the Inquisition motto sounds so appealing.

So it sounds like Leliana will be "hardened" most of the time, but if you befriend her she might start showing her "softened" personality.

Interesting. If thats the case, I really like that.

also: Super glad that Chee is still writing Leliana.

That's the mod I downloaded recently -- Do you know when she says it?

I haven't played for a while, but it's in the 'Are you feeling better about Marjolaine?' dialogue you can bring up in camp, if you follow a specific path down that conversation. 'You miss her, don't you?' I think.

Gotcha -- Will keep that in mind and notice if the dialogue is different.

You don't think the appalling behaviour of many templars, the terrible actions of Lambert, and the obstinate and incredible short-sightedness or even blindness of the mages who voted to break from the Circle might all contribute to a greater responsibility for the rebellion than the actions of the one person in power who actually wants to help mages?
