I like how Leliana is looking so far. One thing that I noticed in the interview is that she and Cassandra won't get along as much as I thought considering they work together under a common cause. I wonder what disagreements they will have. Maybe it is their approach on how some issues should be handled?

I can see that being a reason. Cassandra has never really been one for operating in the shadows, so she might be more for facing your enemy directly while Leliana thinks they should strike from the shadows for example.

I'm not necessarily defending Leliana, but to be fair she was simply following orders. She was a messenger, nothing more or less.

I think Leliana's imprisonment takes place after the events of Redcliffe.

 

I remember reading somewhere that, if the player takes Leliana along with them, she ends up getting captured and it affects her relationship with the Inquisitor.

 

I'd imagine that you would be tasked with rescuing her, and I could see how such an experience would embitter her towards the Inquisitor.

 

I may not be 100% correct on this, though, so take my words with a grain of salt hehe.

With the one person who wrote about the demo, it sounds like we go to Redcliffe because Leliana hasn't reported back and while in the Keep we find her prisoner and free her. After that we go face Alexius.

I think that the DA:I version of Leliana looks remarkably like the actress Kelly Reilly from Above Suspicion and Black Box.

Not to mention that Leliana expresses her concern that she doesn't want them harmed... page 112: "I have... been comrade in arms with elves. I would not see them harmed." Leliana then proceeds to ask for the Divine if the matter of the Elves is under control, because it is the Divine who wishes to know this before making her own moves in the Mage/Templar fight.

 

 Leliana had absolutely nothing to do with it, gave no suggestion to how Celene should take control of the elves other then say she would rather not see violence. So yeah they should go read the book.

Divine (through Leliana) only told Celene that the elven rebellion needed to be dealt with. The manner in which it would be dealt with was entirely up to Celene herself, though Leliana asked that the Elves do not come to harm. Celene's plan was to have Briala quietly kill the noble who commited the crimes against the Elves, until Gaspard used her relationship with Briala to force her to take more extreme measures. So the rebellion was put down by arms, but Celene made sure to keep the damage to properties and elven lives to a minimum.

 

So both Leliana and Justinia are blameless in this matter.

I just hope when leliana is in the inquisition that if she was romanced in DAO it really shows in her actions and her personality. I really dont want to see that lelianna only talks about the Warden only once with the inquisiter, it simply wouldnt be enough. In da2 when you met her only briefly that was ok. Now when you are going to see her often, maybe she only need to mention the Warden 2-3 times, but not in one sweep. IF its more than 3 times it would be tedious.

Hopefully it actually comes up when it's relevant though and could feel natural, rather than her just bringing it up out of nowhere for the sake of it all the time. The Warden apparently has some role to play, so I guess there'll be opportunities for that there.

I am confused though, as to where the assumption that the Warden has some role in Inquisition actually came from. All I know is that BioWare has said that the Warden "might appear". Might. My guess is they'd say that regardless.

I am confused though, as to where the assumption that the Warden has some role in Inquisition actually came from. All I know is that BioWare has said that the Warden "might appear". Might. My guess is they'd say that regardless. 

 

I kind of lost track of all news related to it after a while so it's highly possible it's been denied, but a while back there was a preview magazine stating the Warden and Hawke will have a role. It's the same magazine that leaked Solas and multiple voice sets etc. all which ended up being true, so it's something.

I just can't wait to see how the years have been treating Leliana, I mean I know many are comparing her to Liara in terms of "bubbly whimsical companion" to "somber melancholic advisor" but Leliana has an excuse in ten years. I mean yeah he books happened but I also wanna know what else happened on the side. Plus I hope she sings again, hopefully this time with a cleaner more natural audio track and not an actual song file xD

My guess is the Warden and Hawke will get a mention about stuff they did in the past that is now causing a mess for the Inquisitor to fix. We know it was Hawke and co. who discovered the red lyrium, so we'll see what disaster the Warden unwittingly wrought.

 

On topic, I wonder if Morrigan and Leliana will meet this time around? I wonder how that reunion would go.
