Caramel pudding can't be evil. That's impossible.

That's precisely what I did. After all, you said "might act", not "must act" or "should act", didn't you? Clan Virnehn may look like caricatures, but they are Dalish and their attitude, nasty as it was, wasn't in opposition to what we know of the Dalish. The Dalish Elves are a large enough group to have room for angels and demons. My point was that it wasn't a matter of being an elven Inquisitor or not, but about being pro-elf, since the lore itself supports other ways of understanding what being an elf in Thedas means.
They are allegedly Dalish, unless someone (hopefully) proves otherwise. As for opposition to what we know about the Dalish, the warleader seemed to confuse 'shemlen' with 'shem', the clan used Andrastian dialect instead of elven terms, and generally speaking, using magic that involves spirits violates the tenants of the Dalish.
Also, my point was that the elven Inquisitor could take issue with the revelation about Halamshiral, and this is because I agreed with another poster on the matter. If you're addressing that you don't need to be elven to be in favor of the elves, I don't disagree. I doubt anyone would.
Speaking of the Dalish I always thought that romancing Leliana as one was a bit more romantic then the other origins.

I'm going to have to agree as a biased female Dalish elf player.
Especially when you play a semi-racist broody elf still getting over Tamlen like I did.

Lol me too (though my warden was more timid then racist). But now I might change my head canon a bit and think that Merrill and my elf fooled around a bit since she speaks so fondly of her in DA2.
Like damn girl I didn't know you had such strong feelings for me ![]()

I like to think they fooled around once and were bitter with eachother about something at the point the Origin started at. Would explain why she seemed so mean. :C
She also seemed to be the one that the Warden had the longest goodbye with in the cutscene where she left the clan, so more fuel for that theory I guess.

Oh my idea would that they would probably be bitter about the Mahariel's possible feelings for Tamlen and growing tension from peer pressure seeing how the clan wanted to pair them together.

That's what I thought was going on.
Juicy Dalish drama is the best drama.
I always thought there was something with Merrill/Dalish Warden too. It gives a new spin on why she's so determined to fix that mirror in DA2.
I figured there was something going on. In my Warden's case I don't think it was reciprocated though, at least not anymore. Kinda sad given how she talks about her in DA2.
But don't you know that Leliana is just an evil seductress all along and that she merely made the warden think she was in love with you as a super secret mission for the Chantry? Dorothea sent her to the Lothering Chantry for a reason
I'm not sure about evil, but the other sisters and people in Lothering have interesting things to say about Leliana that make her story somewhat suspicious. You need to refuse her the first time she ask to join and then you go around town asking about her and talking to people and paying attention to the ambient dialogs.
I didn't think Merrill's dialogue indicated much with Mahariel, but her goodbye certainly did...
How did other peoples' Dalish Wardens handle the romance with Leliana, out of curiosity?

Really?I didn't know, that.

In DA:O?

My Dalish denied her feelings for Leliana and Leliana had to make all the moves.
Mahariel was also an archer so I imagine she and Leliana bonded over target practice and friendly competition. She was impressed with Leliana's aim.
One day, this ended in sex idk how...

How much can you even deny in-game before it turns off the romance?

In my case, she was a little bit hesitant at first and actually denied her request to join the party the first time in the tavern. She also took a lot of offence to her comments on elves (I'm not an elf goddamnit, I'm a person.) and her views on their servitude and was probably an outright beyitch for a while. But eventually she softened up and they bonded a bit. Leliana proceeded to make all the passes still, though.
Mostly because I imagine she was still a bit of a bufoon when it comes to human interactions.

How do you see Dalish romantic interactions working?
How do you see Dalish romantic interactions working?
Probably similar enough, but they always seemed more...straightforward to me, from what we've seen.
All the hair comments and flirtatious giggling was probably leaving her a little clueless. She wasn't like Merrill, she was a bit..stoic.

Well, I don't activate the romance during the 'I really like your hair' convo and I don't flirt with her any other time before that (the 'forbidden fruit' dialog, for example).
You spend most of the time as friends. The final chance to begin the romance happens after dealing with Marjolaine and asking Leliana about it...that can be pretty late in relationship with her. I think her affection has to be pretty high (like close to 80 or something) for that dialog option to open up.
Really?I didn't know, that.

From memory (it's been a while, there might be errors in my recollection):
- some people mentioned that she always sit at the same table, alone, in the tavern looking outside the window. I think never touching her drink was also mentioned.
- some sisters mention how she keep to herself and don't interact much with others (while Leliana claims is that the sisters don't like her, sorta)
- the way the reverend mother "bows" to her judgement despite her being just a lay sister is somewhat strange. She also says a couple of things about Leliana if she is not in the party, but I don't remember those exactly.

I know some people think she was working for Divine Justinia (?) all along in DA:O.
I think you do , no?I vaguely remember talking about this before.
I'm on a fence about this , she seemed really genuine .Of course it could have been an act...
But mmmm...

Yep, after I got those dialogs, I started to think that Leliana might have been working for the Chantry all along.
I think she might have been associated with the Dorothea all the way back in DA:O, but I don't think it was anything malicious or she was lying to the Warden about her thoughts or feelings.
I'd be surprised if she didn't have contact with Dorothea. They were probably still close friends at that point. But I think the whole Sister Nightingale thing only started with Awakening, when she told the Warden in her letter she was seeing the Grand Cleric.

She could have been both genuine and an agent of Dorothea/Justinia. And she does come equipped with a Seeker's amulet. It'd be a nice touch if it turns out to be true, though probably unlikely.
