I know some people think she was working for Divine Justinia (?) all along in DA:O.

She wasn't the Divine at that time but I assume they kept in touch.

IIRC, Justinia's appointment as Divine was controversial among the high ranking Chantry officials but she was the one Beatrix III picked.  I always wondered if Leliana had a hand in helping Justinia get the nomination from Beatrix.  This would mean that the two were allied even before Justinia becomes Divine.

Yep, after I got those dialogs, I started to think that Leliana might have been working for the Chantry all along.

I would be a bit "disturbed" if it was true.I mean even if she was spying , she fought alongside the warden ...so I wouldn't hold an eternal grudge.

But imagine replaying DAO and knowing she's lying.

But I may like her a tiny bit more , because for a bard ...she could be quite naive at times.Well maybe not naive , but a bit too innocent for someone who used to seduce people and then kill them and sort of thought it was fun.

Leliana come off has naive because she is idealistic.

It is said by mar that she didn't get any letters or messages she didn't even leave lothering so well...

Besides why she would be send to the lothering and with what mission...

I think some players came to that conclusion because of her Seeker amulet, and the contradictions between her story about what happened to her, and the story we got in "Leliana's Song". I think that perception was an unintentional result of the budgetary constraints, since it's easier to recycle areas from Ferelden than to create new areas that are supposed to represent Orlais.

Maybe but I can't imagine being that idealistic when she used to play the game and murder people.

I know she was in love and everything , but that's a bit much.

Well maybe it was her way of coping after that whole betrayal + torture thing.

How did other peoples' Dalish Wardens handle the romance with Leliana, out of curiosity?

I wrote a fanfic about it... :P you can go read it... lol (but I actually rather people not as my head canon has changed)

But anyway my Dalish was put off by her at first, denied her intial request to join but let her come along.   After being thrown into the Wardens and losing Tamlen and Merrill, she felt very lost in this new human world and Leliana to her was very worldly and knew a lot about this new world so my warden found comfort in the tales Leliana told her. My Dalish was not prejudice towards humans as she felt she never had enough experience with them personally to really have an opinion about them, but she was cautious around them. She grew to become surprised at how curious and open minded Leliana was.  Eventually this blossomed into a friendship and then a relationship when Leliana asked about her hair, but through the "I would be flattered" dialog option, not that she intended for that really she was just being curious, she's never a flirt.

Kind of but not really. Leliana suggested red velvet not purple. Morrigan did listen to the whole bit about not hiding her "features" however.

Leliana so wanted to tap that. :P

My Warden would rather have that three-some happen than having too chose

It is scientifically proven that pictures of Leliana with Schmooples can cure all kinds of depression.

This is the cutest thing.

I swear, if Schmooples isn't in Inquisition, I will riot.

Or just be really, really sad about it and pout.

When was it stated that she prefers woman? I know it was confirmed by Sheryl Chee for Isabela, but I don't remember ever hearing it from Leliana or someone else.

Though, I guess Marjolaine could serve as an obvious sign.

I like that she's bi as well.

I don't recall Sheryl saying anything about Isabela's or Leliana's preferences. People extrapolate from her history, how she interacts with women, and perhaps it has something to do with her girlishness.

Not for Isabela either? I mean, I have never seen an actual quote, but alot of posters were talking about it, so I kinda assumed that was the case.

Not that any of it really matters, but I was just curious.

I have never felt that Isabela preferred women (despite the 1 vs 6 quote.) I think she's tends to like men and women about the same, but is more protective of women.

Several times she mentioned that being a woman can be difficult and you have to work harder because of it. Her mother sold her to her husband, which is not something we've heard men experience. Her interactions toward Merrill suggest a protective side as well that she doesn't show to any of the male characters.

I've always wondered how she's counting to arrive at 6.

Agree never felt there was any preference. People just want to latch onto things and ascribe things as facts that even really inferred IMO let alone stated.

But that's still neglecting a ton of very fun bits.

That's not the Isabela I know.
