Well, taking a new job that involves bouncing around Thedas without any sort of notice to the Warden whatsoever is fairly horrible.

And you know there was no notice how?

Why is everyone assuming the worst when it comes to Leliana's relationship with The Divine during Origin's and her relationship with The Warden in general?

Has ome of the devs mentioned something along these lines or are Leliana's fans just generally a Glass Half Empty kind of people?

It's been nothing but conspiracy theories since The Exiled Prince.

Don't start that again. She's easier to start a romance with if you're male, so the notion that she "prefers" ladies doesn't hold much water.

Eh wut?

Lel's Bi, hence approachable by both genders. Unless its some kind of dialogue stuff I'm unaware of, I never romanced her as a male. Perhaps some bisexuals may have a slight preference for one gender over another but can still enjoy both. Shrugs can't say I'm an expert on bi folk! :P  No doubt someone will pull me up on this anyway.

On the subject of prefrence for ether men or women when it comes to Leliana or Isabella when it comes to love i feel like this point is moot because when you love someone it doesn't really matter ether way you love them no matter what regardless. If however your talking about sex again it could go ether way depending on what you want at the time ha ha isn't that why there bi? They like both i mean why does it matter which sex they prefer more if they do at all?

Ehhh i think Leliana wouldn't abandon her lover without a goodbye either. Odds are they kept in contact up untill the point the warden disappeared.

(i hope none of my replies offend any one. <3)

I don't see it this way.Same way Morrigan can love the warden dearly but dump him because well she has really important things to do.

I mean the warden also doesn't give up his/her duty to follow Leliana around in the name of love.

But that's Morrigan; it seems more in-character. And at least there's closure there.

Leliana didn't abandon the Warden anymore than they abandon her by becoming the Commander of the Grey.

I told her I was going back to the Grey Wardens at the end of DAO and invited her to come along with me on whatever journeys came next, and she agreed. There was never any abandonment intended.

And you know there was no notice how?

There was a letter sent in Awakening, then nothing at all afterward in either DLC, where it could well have been covered.

The DLC didn't even cover that much time. The letter said she'd tell you more when she meets you again in person, which the epilogue implies she did.

There was nothing from any of the LIs in the other DLC. Why would there be?

In the words of Beraht, the epilogues aren't worth more than a fart in a midden. Hello, Cullen the serial killer.
I also think that Witch Hunt takes place a couple of years later.

Well, there was rather a lot from Morrigan. Alistair is still kinging or Wardening, so it isn't as though you'll have a hard time communicating or finding him again. Zevran... has the same problem, and I invite any Zevran fans to commiserate with me.

Leliana is a Bioware character. A bit of defensive pessimism helps to protect one's feels.

I dont think Leliana fans like myself have too much to worry about I doubt bioware is gonna gut punch the hell out of us or anything. Im sure if theres anything it will be handled gently. Because emotions!

But... why did she go off and become an assassin for the Divine in the first place? Could we not be happy together in Ferelden?

This one has yet to be disproven however, and probably won't ever be, so I see no reason not to believe it - and Leliana and the Warden surely met up again at some point after Awakening.

Because she's her own person with her own goals and ambitions?

Being in a relationship with someone doesn't mean they constrict you and tie you to their ankle. Well, not generally anyway.

At some point, but honestly, even if they did somehow stay in contact, this is a life choice on Leliana's part that really should have warranted some kind of discussion between her and the Warden, and I feel robbed of all the time in-between games, which I feel would be quite important.

I havent seen anything yet that has made me lose the faith STAY THE COURSE! And to be fair the warden has been missing for a few years by this point if shes moved on it wont be too hard to see.

I don't think Leliana would be happy settling down like that.

Pikachu used logic. It's not very effective.

I know, but... joining the Chantry as some kind of secret agent right after her girlfriend's royal boon for saving the nation from darkspawn was stifled by the Chantry? That's just... tacky.

Who says there'd be settling involved? I'm still Commander of the Grey.

Technically one of the Awakening companions is the "Commander" now

If a certain warden has so much of a problem with Leliana working for the chantry then that warden shouldn't be with Leliana to begin with.
