While the game looks nice compared to the past 2 DA games, the hair on the characters still looks bad and the animations (both combat and facial) look really rough.

And it also appears Varric's hair is back to the Gaider approved tint.

 

All I see is that it hasn't changed. The color is still as red as before. Although I admit that it could be the lighting.

Compared to Leliana who looks stunning around age 30, Morrigan seems old in this pic. Maybe the side-effect of the Old God Baby? Come to think of it, I remember her saying in DAO that she remembered a young-looking Flemeth. She's aging faster because of some kind of magic? Ahh..Ti's all specualtion.

Leliana looks nice. I didn't like her in Origins and I'm probably not going to like her in Inquisition, but her design is great.

Seeing Solas straight on like this and he reminds me a lot of one my Warden characters. And he's the only character whose outfit I want to change so far. All the others look fantastic.

However, very intrigued to learn his back story and I do hope Varric constantly asks him if he's cold, given that he's wearing long johns all the time

Winged helmets are a Warden thing. 

 

I'm guessing the Grey Warden companion will have one, even if the Inquisitor doesn't.

Considering it's been 10 years.....Doesn't looks like she's aged a day since the DA:O trailers.
 

What IS her secret?

Leliana is the only character I know that has looked good in all three games. She's definitely hiding some secret

Eh... I just don't think that's a very good translation of her Origins face to the new engine. They seemed to have done a pretty good job with Leliana in terms of keeping the general proportions and so forth but here with Morrigan, the general proportions and facial features she had in Origins seem to have been pretty much totally scrapped. Different shaped head/face, different sized facial features, smaller lips, narrower face, giraffe neck, hell, they even added a mole for no reason? Its not even a "Oh, she's 8 or ten years older!" thing, it just looks like they scrapped the foundation of Morrigan's Origins facial model and did something completely different barring the superficial things like yellow eyes and black hair.

 

And the hair looks like plastic Barbie hair- not that the hair looked great in DA2 or Origins but the how fake it looks is jarring compared to how good everything else looks on a technical level.

 

Really wish they'd consider mod tools if nothing else than to allow for people to tweak some of the faces.

If you look closely you can see statues in the recesses of one of the structures. If anything, they look like amphitheaters.
