I really hope the Inquisitor isn't some spirit. If she/he is I bet they'll die after their "job" is complete.
Can Inquisitor walk in & out of the Fade?

Why would that be the case at all? It's not as if the Inquisitor has to give his meatsuit back.

well we already saw that done in The Beureau: XCOM Declassified
when the whole game you were an Alien possessing the agent
Indeed. It was a terrible twist in that game, and it would be a terrible twist in this game as well.

Just a thought, albeit a cynical one. Also, he might of only rented it so....

If not for the multiple race thing, I'd say the Inquisitor is Morrigan's son.

If that was the case wouldn't he/she be around ten years old?

And potentially non-existent?

Hmm... I suppose that's also a possibility worth exploring. Maybe the Inquisitor crossed the Fade from Thedas in another time? That would be awesome! And more than a bit difficult to explore in a Dragon Age game.
Agreed.
I do doubt Cole is demon/spirit-possessed. That'd be pretty boring for there already was two possessed companions in the party, so the devs would've not done that again. And Cole's possession... doesn't look like possession to me. No "now it's spirit talking instead of Anders" moments, no glowing, nothing. And the memory loss which is something new for possessed people. Anders and Wynne seemed to remember how they had got their shiny inner friends.

Nothing would upset me except bad storytelling. DA2's 3rd act had bad storytelling and it upset me. If it turns out you died in the intro and are a fade spirit in a person's body or alternatively if have a spirit in you helping you out, well that's the story they went with and who cares as long as it's WELL PRESENTED and FUN?
You're still a somewhat blank slate, you just don't know HOW you survived... cause magic and stuff, finding out is part of the game and part of the fun.

I only care because their own lore and stories made me weary of it. In DAO, I didn't give a crap about "spirits" so much. I didn't know better. I was friendly to Wynne and specced Spirit Warrior and buddied with Justice. Now I just want to kill them all. It's all Anders' fault. lol That proved to me they don't belong here any more than demons.
I want to get away from magic interfering with things so much. So it's a little disappointing not having a choice this time.
That doesn't mean I won't enjoy the game though. But I think I'll hate my own character just a little bit. I won't be sad if they die at least. I'm ready to just play Hawke again. I preferred my rogue and warrior. They were just badass immigrants. It was pretty down to earth, other than the nutjobs they made friends with.

The thing with spririts is that the moment they take on the from of a "negative" feeling (anger, pride, desire, vengence, etc) they become "demons"
I also just think of it like Merrill. The Fade is like their "land", their home. And this is ours. They shouldn't overlap. Having even a positive spirit around is displacement.

I doubt the Inquisitor is a spirit or got possessed.
It seems he/she got a piece of the fade stuck in his/her hand .
I'm wondering if (s)he touched something (s)he shouldn't before the blast , or once in the fade.
Or it's possible a third party got involved , saved the Inquisitor and gave him (her ) a magical glowing hand...I mean some people knew something was coming and it's a bit funny the moment the fade is tearing apart , one person rise with a unique power able to close them.

Morgan's child is a fixed point in time according to some.

Apparently no. You can only enter the fade at certain points and once you leave it you cannot go
back in as the tear will be sealed. I'm hoping they wont pull a Revan where you were somehow
involved with those responsible and enabled the destruction to happen.

I wouldn't mind this so much if the PC does a face heel turn without lol amnesia as an excuse (or if he/she merely pretends not to remember anything).
