Pre-order page in the country I'm currently residing in lists only two languages and English is not one of them. Please allow us to play the game in English regardless of the region! I'm even willing to pay more for that.

it's EA thing. Not BW desire or choice.
but you can cure it if you want.
"I see - from our part it should include all languages as that is what we deliver, but I can't guarantee that is what ends up being available for the region as this is handled by the local EA office :("
back to DA2 release i was asking about languages some BW employee. And that ^ is his answer.

Well, I'm hoping that BioWare can influence the publisher.
I know that I can use a VPN or simply buy the game elsewhere, but it's a major annoyance for me.
well. you could make DAO speak english.. and DA2. and BF3 and BF4.
no need for vpn and other stuff. if you are willing to download some gigabytes of archived sound and text files.
But i still don't really understand EA's policy on this matter. If i want to play a game in God's language, i will play a game in English.
I am also considering this to be a huge oversight, and actually will hold off buying it, as I played all of the previous games in English.
I'm curious. in wich languages will be voiced DAI? only english, or others, like ME? (I'm hoping as many languages as possible. It would be great to simply listen to the party banter without having to stop playng to read the subtitles. english VO speak too rapidly for my limited knowlenge of the language...
)

DAO was dubbed into Russian. DA2 was not, subtitles only. Mass Effect was dubbed, ME2 and ME3 weren't.
All the translations were atrocious though, and the dubbing quality sucked.
TLDR: If you want me to pay more, I'll pay more. But don't make me suffer your inability to hire competent translators and spellcheckers and voice actors.

ME 1-2-3 where all dubbed in Italian. DAO/2 wheren't. only english voices. I hope (at least a little) DAI will follow ME route. (maybe with the chance to change voiced laguage, like in Dragon's Dogma or Ni No Kuni.
Yeah, if I can't get it with original VO and subs, I'm just going to...well I just won't say cause it's not nice.
So far all the Bioware games I've gotten in the Central Europe region were subbed only, and even that could be switched to English, thank God. In ME2, the version downloaded depended on the language setting in Origin. If that's the case in all their newer games, it might be one solution.
Even if you buy, for example, the german Version, can't you just change the language of your origins client to English and it should ask you in which language you'd like to install it.
It might work in the german version but it won't work in eastern european versions. I had to cancel my ME3 pre-order on Origin so that I could buy a proper multilingual version elsewhere. Chat support said that English version was not available in my country, and phone support suggested that I use a proxy to buy it (seriously, that was their actual answer).
Fully in English is the only way to roll for me.

That really sucks. I dare say there's a lot of gamers who practice their English in games; it's stupid to take that opportunity away, moreso when the localized version often can't compare.
you see i agree on limitations by regions. like you buy a game let say in Poland or Russia and than you move to another country, for living, workig etc.
and there is a chance by buying a game in Poland you pay less money for it, than you could pay let say in UK.
for example difference in price between russian version and version for the uk is in 25$ for deluxe. ok i get it. fair enough. this region lock makes some sense after all. but.
but. i see no sense in limitation by language. in my experience voice acting and translation are very often horribly made. it is so in DAO, it is so in DA2, it is so in BF3(yes those little tips during a loading). If you can't hire a decent voice actors and can't translate a text on a decent level. Just allow me to buy a version of the game which is region free. i am willing to pay 20-30$ more. for a quality.
but nope. this thing i just don't understand.
thanks for the link.
however i am in Russia right now and i will remain here until november of this year, and origin is telling me that in this region only two options for language are avaliable: Polish and Russian.

As answered in the other thread: As long you don't life in a German or French place, you'll get English VO and English subs. Origin probally just doesn't bother to writer that down or something. They are investigating options for us German and French folks to get the English VO.
thanks for the link.

Derek told us in the other thread that Russian copies will have English VO too. You can check the thread i asked specifically about it.
yeah i saw that.
but most likely i will buy this game when i get home to Finland. just to be sure.
No matter how great it is otherwise, I'm not going to buy this game if I can't play it in English. It's one of very few non-negotiable requirements.
Edit:
Origin lists German, English, Spanish, French and Italian as the available languages in the digital deluxe edition. I guess boxed copies of the CE won't be different, though some clarification would be nice.
I feel the same, original English version is the only way I am gonna play this game, otherwise I am not buying it on Origin.
As a long fan of Dragon Age series I would like to play it in English where I can enjoy original voice acting as it meant to be.
However for my region preorders are only in my native language and I don't like to be forced to buy the game in my native language.
This new strange policy of forcing people to buy games in native languages only forces people to download games from illegal sites where games are available in English.
Dear community managers, could you do something to make our voice heard ?

That was how it works for Mass Effect 3: get the digital copy, you're locked into one (or two) subtitle languages and one VO language. The physical releases were multi-lingual, at least in Europe.
