ok, so I play for a couple hours this afternoon with no issues, get through the origin story and all is good, get to the Ritual of joining conversation and suddenly red specks show up all over the screen and I can't interact with anything anymore, try to ALT-TAB/CTRLL-ALT-DELETE/ALT-F4 to get the client closed with no changes, screen goes black and I have to hard reboot... go through from last save get to that point again, bam, red specks all over the screen... before I can even start to hit anything screen goes black for a second and BSOD, this is the first time I've seen that screen under win7, was really hoping not to see it for a while. go through again, this time skipping all the optional dialog and just accepting the quest and it lets me through, I figure great, hopefully that doesn't happen again... well the very next conversation I have with the dying soldier out in the wilds, before I even get a dialog option, BSOD, reboot and go through again, same thing...

this is making my game pretty much unplayable, starting to wish I had of gotten a console version simply for the reduced ammount of crash bugs that are seen there...

System:
Intel Core2duo E6300 1.87Ghz
2gb Ram
Geforce 8800GT 512mb

running game with medium settings in 1920x1080 with AA off, dont experiance heat issues with any other games which I usually run at max settings.

if anyone else is having problems, or has any ideas I'd love to hear em...

I am having basically the same issues as you, been looking around for a fix but nothing yet. I also have an Intel Core 2 Due

3GB Ram

GeForce 8800GT 512mb

I havent had problems with any other games.
