The more I look at him, the creepier he is.
I wonder what his voice will be like. I can imagine them playing up the 'little boy lost' aspect of him with a very young and innocent sounding voice. I don't think we've seen that in a male performance for a BioWare game.

Well Cole has aged and from the way they talked about him he is more socialized from the Cole in the book. So I would say he has a shy tone, is somewhere around the tenor range, with a little vocal fry from nerves and lack of use.
Just hopefully not TOO young sounding. Heheh, it would be kinda funny if they got the guy that did Tidus.

James Arnold Taylor? Don't sell him short. He was the voice of Obi Wan in The Clone Wars; Marty McFly in various games and many others.

- I will not get the game until Christmas.
- Plenty of information will be provided in the interim.
- I have absolutely no compunctions about spoilers.
- All of the above allow me to plan things accordingly.

Seconded. Though, I would point out that it is a bit... silly to condemn a character for how they MIGHT feel about another companion when you know next to nothing about either one.
Vivienne's hostility towards Cole isn't the only reason that I have an aversion towards her. She strikes me as arrogant, conceited, and self-absorbed. Also, I find politicking boring, and that seems to be her favorite pastime.
I may be wrong. We'll see. Mary Kirby or one of the other writers said that her personality will conflict with Morrigan's. Stands to reason, then, that we are probably not going to get along.
I'll say that while I don't much like Vivienne- I pretty much agree word for word with Ms. Morrigan's opinion of her- her stance on Cole is one of the few things about her I find reasonable.
Joining everyone in being sincerley shocked that Patrick Weekes is writing him and curious about what motivated the change in writers. David Gaider just seemed such an obvious choice! But if The Masked Empire is any indication, he's a good writer so while I am a bit hesitant about the change I am not too worried. Vivienne's reaction I am not surprised about; it seems a very stone-cold pragmatic point of view that suits her. But I am super sad about the Sera reveal! Still interested in her character and probably going to have her in my party a lot, and I can understand her reaction and it makes sense for her, but still sad. (I wanted her and Varric and Cole to be a little blonde rogue family!) It's funny, we all thought Iron Bull will be the one having a problem with him while Sera would be more cool about him, but it turned out to be the other way around.
Holy crap though, did Cole develop and change from what he was in Asunder! Gosh, Rhys would be so proud. I am feeling proud. (And emotional. He's grown up so much!) And apparently he went from killing as the worst thing he does using his invisibility to pulling silly pranks? Because that's adorable as hell and probably my favorite thing that we've found out about him from this interview.
So...I'm wondering. What on thedas is going to be Coles recruitment quest? Doesn't seem like he'd be that easy to encounter, or that he'd intentionally search for you.

As for the Scribbles topic, has anyone considered he may be stabbing her because she may not be such a nice lady? Given Cole's "I want to do good" stance, (and the fact we know nothing about her), I am just throwing the possibility out there.

well, according to vivene's character profile she has her own agenda. those with their own agendas and a high and mighty attitude like we have seen from some of her character descriptions, really tend to not make it on my favorite characters list. You could argue morrigan in the same way, but i found her attitude was a lot more bearable than what i have seen with vivene. As for morrigan and her butting heads, yeah i can see that, especially from a circle mage and apostate standpoint.
as far as vivene's distaste for cole, i understand it at first, but if it continues down the line late into the story it might anger me a bit. Im more surprised at Sera's distrust of cole, shes a city elf, not a mage, and shouldnt really have any problems with him, cause he likes to help people like she does.
