I don't think Cole will be a romance, but the general message seems to be that we should just chill.  It was getting ugly in here yesterday...  I was missing the friendly Cole thread.

But unfortunately, Cole is one of those characters that completely divide people and opinions. There will always be people who want to argue against his inclusion as follower (and/or LI), and those who just plain adore him. Doesn't mean we need to argue though

Unfortunately I think marketing or...someone is holding on to romance reveals as some sort of rare currency to breed hype.   But yeah this would solve A LOT of problems.

This is a really silly reason. I think Iron Bull is aesthetically unpleasant, but it's certainly not "sick" to me if other people disagree. That's just personal aesthetic taste and there's absolutely nothing wrong with disagreeing. Your Inquisitor can be anywhere from 19-40, they said. If you think young adults with older adults is wrong, then basically everyone is "wrong" for an LI at some point on the spectrum.

20 is "barely adult hasn't even biologically grew up completelly". Cassandra is 30+ and that's why her age works so well: at worst the age difference is 10 years. Same probably with Cullen and Sera

I'm getting this sad feeling that something very terrible might happen to him in inquisition because of all these split opinions people have of him. I don't want to cry because of a game so I'm hoping it's really just a feeling.

It doesn't matter why you think one is more acceptable to think is attractive. It's still completely subjective and completely harmless. 

 

Do you think people that want Blackwall to be an LI are sick? He looks well over 40, to me.

It's not just his mentality. Its everything: from his undead tainted looks to the fact that Inquisitor can be 40 and Cole at best looks 25

No need to get overly judgmental.  I agree when it comes to his mentality - if he's still as he was in Asunder.  But attacking his looks or age (your guess being 25, which is well above a physical age of consent) is unnecessary.  He doesn't have to be your cup of tea, but allow him to be someone else's as it honestly has no effect on your life at all.

 

People like the idea of romancing or befriending "the other", so I get the appeal.

 

I still think the more I see of Cole, the more I'm certain the artists are fans of In The Flesh.  He looks just like zombie Kieren, especially the dark lips and mottled skin.

It got to the point that people were making really cruel jokes about emos... Idek no one did that with Justice. Just because he has matted hair stuck to his face and a deathly appearance.... JUH HEEZ.

Tastes and ideas of beauty differ, but there are some common values all living being support: being healthy, capable of making offspring and surviving. That's why even a completely different species may look attractive to us if it's obvious they're healthy. Showing signs of illness is almost always a turn off. Looking like a corpse is even worse
That's why while IB and Blackwall may look unusual they still easily can be attractive due to being physically superfit and healthy
And I doubt Black wall will be a LI. He looks nice but he seems too old

If you have a male character that's not a grizzled, 30+, picture of stoic manliness and he, god forbid, has AN EMOTION, someone will probably call him emo.

I think that'd scare me more than how he looks now, actually! Big, white grins can be really creepy!

I actually see colour in his cheeks.

The warm light in the desert makes him look more pink/alive, while the other screenshots with the blue light make him look more deathly. You're not alone or crazy or anything for thinking this.

Even Justice blew up Kirkwall.

 

But Justice had a host that was corruptible. It seems like Cole is less so...
