Oh my god some of these "teams" from the twitter thread are gold.

Mary Kirby ‏@BioMaryKirby

I'm going to have to try Team Talking, But Not To Each Other: Sera, Viv, and Cole

I can just see them trying to relay all their snarky commentary at each other through the inquisitor.

So then, Solas, Sera and Cole make Team Crushed Expectations... I wonder what that could mean...

Probably just has to do with them being apostate/city elf/unwanted spirit thing. Maybe like...team underdog? lol

Nah, I bet Viv and Sera don't get along very well. I bet Vivienne thinks Sera is beneath her or something.

Oh! Right. Sera is like... anti-fashion. Very practical. I guess it'll just be them all arguing with each other? I think that's a little too much negativity for me! But I could imagine it being like an Anders/Merrill/Fenris party where they sometimes ganged up on her.

Ah that makes sense. ^^ I saw in the Solas thread mentioned that it could be "unexpected" that they get along?

I agree but hearing a hint of how Sera is talked to (ex. Iron Bull) I think it would make great banter especially with Viv.

Also I'm glad we got more info on how the companions are going to interact with each other. Cole especially is in unexpected  party combinations.

I wonder if they would be as hateful and venomous as Anders/Merrill/Fenris. I wonder if it might be more passive aggressive instead. I wonder if Cole would participate in it or just ignore it? Or even make them forget about him if it got too heated?

I would hope Sera would get over her "not talking to it" eventually.

Edit: wow I typed a lot of "I wonder"s in that

Haha I would still do it... FOR SCIENCE! It's just not a combination I'd want with me 24/7. I'm glad they shared this even if it just leaves me wanting more(I'm so impatient!) but yeah, glad to see lots of Cole included. And hey I was just complaining that Cole hasn't really been mentioned in relationships with other companions in interviews. Yay for complaining! :wizard:

They got pretty nasty towards her during her companion quest. I hope it's more passive aggressive. I feel like Viv will be, as she is an expert at "the Game" yes? But Sera seems more... brash.

I'm honstly wondering about whether Cole will argue back. Patrick did say he has changed, I wonder if he'll be sticking up for himself more. He was pretty afraid of making people angry and upset in Asunder, so I'm very interested in this development...

I feel like Sera would change, her interview does say she likes people "that try", and Cole is all about trying.

I'd love to see how the devs would handle the party banter if they allow Cole to do that

If not though then I don't know. They did say Cole is changing a bit. I could see him being the wise one in the banter or just be the one to mediate the arguments.

I look at it from the perspective of it being like a kid and his/her parents where he will be like "I don't like it when you guys fight!"

Okay that sounds sad lets hope I'm wrong on that. ;)

So Cass/sera/cole is a fun party

Viv/sera/cole is a fun party

Cass/solas/Cole is a fun party

Hmm...I wonder what other parties would be particularly entertaining with him

Probably something with him and Iron Bull!

I'm wondering how Morrigan will react to Cole. It is a spirit and a alarmingly powerful one (far more so than it is being given credit, imo) at that. Does she move to destroy it. Study it? Ignore it? Will she see through it immediately? If she does, what will she do with that information?

She is a mother now and it does have a habit of killing mage children.

I wonder if Coles shenanigans at the keep will come up with banter. Iron bull had bread loafs stuck on his horns after Cole filled his bed with them or something.

Knowing her, she will try to manipulate him for her own goals. She does that with everyone else.

What happens if I switch out Sera with Cole in a team vulgar run? Does it become "team vulgar and one guy who never gets the jokes"

Morrigan is not a mother in everyone's play through. Therefore I doubt they'd include that as part of their relationship unless it was simply an offhand comment, but I doubt it.
I could easily see her being okay with him, as a way to use him and his powers. I doubt she'd want to outright banish him. I could also see her being wary of him and thinking it not smart to trust someone that is a demon. I think it could go either way, it also depends on how much Morrigan has changed that we simply do not know.

Aww this could be really great too. Or maybe he'd try to make jokes too and fail really hard...

Oh god him failing at jokes would be amazing.

Blackwall: Is it true what they say about a man with big horns, Bull?

Cole: Oh! I know this one uh....yes, it means he has a large nose!

I think she will be a mother in every playthrough. Maybe her child isn't of a warden, but I think she will be a mother still. Warden, Alistair, and Logain aren't the only men in the world. It makes sense that to include the OGB at all, a lot of her dialogue will be about rearing a child. OGB or not, I think motherhood is going to play a substantial part of her life. Of course motherhood doesn't define her, but given her complex relationship with her own mother and of course the great lengths she went to to conceive the OGB (successful or no), being a  mother seems to be a fundamental part of her narrative arc. So writing dialogue for her, a non companion NPC would likely be resource exhaustive if, in some playthroughs, she has no child at all and in some she does. Of course, I could be mistaken.

So if you take Cole to a fancy Orlesian ball, what reaction do you think it would get?

Kill it with fire?

Okay. Seriously. It is the epitome of a wallflower. It would actually go completely unnoticed.

I agree with you about the OGB, I think it's a shame it wasn't a canon thing that happened though I understand, why. But there is no indication she will be a mother no matter what, and until she actually is shown to be I don't think one should assume.

Well I'm assuming most people still can't remember/see him, and I just don't think he'd be comfortable personally. Cole doesn't seem the type to me to understand dancing or the very idea of a ball like that. So I have a feeling he'd be standing in the back just watching.

Ok so I guess bringing him would result in most people asking you why you didn't bring anybody. But at least there could be some awesome pranks, intentional and unintentional done with invisibility at a ball.

I wonder whether we will even have him when we go to the ball. I think in the interview with Vivienne it was she that was throwing a ball for us? Unless it'll be like in DA2 where you could just go out and get everyone in any random order at the start.

To be honest I have no idea when we get each companion. I assume the ball triggers the next 'act' of the game but we might be able to recruit several party members before attending.

I hope so. I want to take everyone as my ball date at least once.

Fair enough. But for those of us that did take her up on her offer, there is an interesting ability that Cole has that I think Morrigan will have a great deal of interest in: It can hear the call of the old gods. If her son is one of them how does that sense influence her and Coles relationship?
