Why did Cole start...helping mages in the dungeons?
We don't really know why, but he was drawn to those mages because they were beacons of despair in the dungeons. He gave them a way out from their pain.

Does Cole sleep?
A question: Do you think Cole's interpretation of "good"(morally right) will be how we view it in Inquisition? I can see Cole trying to do things that he believes will help others, but would actually hurt them. It would be pretty neat if we could give Cole a clearer mindset on what it means to help others.
Does Cole sleep?
I don't think so. No sign of it in the book that I can recall.

Quoting Page 6 & 7 of Asunder:
If he was dead, why did he still sleep? Why did he hunger, and breathe, and sweat? These were not things a dead person did.
Yes, Cole does sleep.
Why does Cole have the memories of the child, Cole?

When asleep, where does Cole's mind go?
Why does Cole have the memories of the child, Cole?
That's not specified in Asunder, and is something we could only theorize on. I think we'll have to wait for Cole to tell us this in game to know.
Things we do know: Spirits/demons become disoriented when crossing the veil, spirits/demon can read minds, and shades drain people's psyche to gain power and manifest themselves in a physical form. Whether that's specific to shades or all spirits is unknown.
When asleep, where does Cole's mind go?
Are you asking if he dreams when he sleeps? I can't find mention of it briefly skimming the book. I swear it mentioned that he had nightmares at some point, but I can't find it. So I'm not sure.
Cole was curled up next to him, as close as he could get to the fire without burning. He didn't even stir as the rain fell on him, although Rhys saw fluttering behind his eyelids. Bad dreams. Considering all the young man had been through, he couldn't blame him for wanting to forget. He might not understand why Cole felt the impulse to kill, and couldn't let himself forget what Cole was, but he wasn't without sympathy.
He wiped a lock of blond hair out of Cole's eyes, and prayed silently that the Maker might deliver him a few days of peaceful rest before they got to the tower. The Maker owed him that much, at least.

What gives form to the Fade?
I have a feeling that Solas is going to be the one to answer that for us. ![]()

Ah, there we go! Thank you.
What gives form to the Fade?
I thought the Fade is formed from spirits creating stuff from human memories and emotions?
Oh right it's mentioned in the Solas interview: linkie
When rhys and Wynne entered the Fade, where did they find Cole?
He was brought in in the same place as them, in Wynne's nightmare of the battle against the Archdemon in Denerim.
After Wynne's nightmare, where did Evangeline and Rhys find Cole?
I want Cole to meet the rhyming tree and they talk spirit to spirit.

LOL You should probably re-read the book at this rate. ![]()
