I generally want to see Cole joking around a little, it'd be refreshing to have a spirit companion with a sense of humour. Considering how that interview said things about him putting turnips in fireplaces and so on, I just might get my wish. Plus, seeing him happy would be wonderful. c:

I think my favorite part about kelgrid's comics is that Cole is always just minding his own business/being relatively peaceful and then someone messes with him. lol

Sounds a little too much like a modern AU Cole that seems to be a little too close to Tate Langdon.

So I was thinking.. I think I recall something being said about our followers having opinions and making comments on our chosen romance.

I wonder what Cole would have to say if he was close to our Inquisitor. Would he be all cute and protective? Supportive and "meh"? Or would he not even understand? Any of these would just be adorable.. I guess we can look at Rhys/Evangeline's "relationship" and take from that what we will. I don't recall Cole having an opinion on the matter, but at the same time it's not like they were in a full-blown relationship - I don't think their "feelings" were obvious to anyone. Wow my head is exploding with questions right now.

On a separate note, I really want to see Cole in action. In battle. Battlecries. Party banter. Everything. All these reveals are making me want more.

Also, yes, that's the guy played by Evan Peters. On a side note, Evan Peters would make a perfect live-action Cole. They look very alike. (Though Cole looks more... unhealthy.)

 

I think things like romantic relationships (along with sexual stuff) will be things that he'll never really understand properly.  As a result, he'd probably ask a lot of questions, even though he probably wouldn't understand the answers, though he'd shut up if the Inquisitor felt uncomfortable. (He did apologise when he saw that Evangeline was upset by him accidentally watching her undress, after all.)

 

I want to know everything, but at the same time I want to wait for it to be released and experience it for myself. :c

Pretty sure he's a rogue who can also turn invisible, which isn't so overpowered when you take into consideration the stealth skill.

Yeah, they do look similar and stuff I'm just saying I read up on that character from American Horror Story and he's pretty awful. But Evan Peters would be perfect for him. I don't think he looks that unhealthy in the picture in the desert. Definitely tired and dirty. xD
It's really only the close-up with the blue-green lighting that he looks really sickly/zombieish.

I think a lot of people sell Cole short on how quickly he picks up on things cause they think he's a child. I expect his understanding of things to be like Justice's, but he'd probably be a lot more curious and, yeah, ask a lot of questions because he lived believing he was human for a while. Unlike Justice who entered Kristoff's body with his memories and... spiritness in tact.

Well he watched people have sex in the tower plenty and seemed to be aware of what it is, and what they were doing. So I don't think he'll act like a 5 year old kid. I'm picturing a reaction from the stand point of a creature that does not experience sexual feelings and such that people do. While he's aware of what it is, he wont understand the reasons why as he does not experience it himself.
He's an outsider looking in because he's not human.

No. The interview with Patrick specified he was not using blood magic. He was using demon/spirit abilities. Because he's not a human. He's "on the spirit-demon spectrum".

Well, now that I remembered that he's not only that character from American Horror Story, but Quicksilver from this year's X-Men movie, I am now 103% behind my fantasy casting decision.

 

That's what I meant. I think he knows that sex and relationships exist thanks to the circle mages having secret affairs all the time, but he wouldn't understand why they exist or what people have them for. That's the sort of things he'd ask about, because he's a spirit that probably doesn't have urges like that. The question is whether he can develop romantic feelings or not. My answer's no, but it'd be a shock if he could.

I don't know if he was deliberately modeled after him per say, but DG and some of Cole's fans have said that Cole looked like Evan Peters.

So, had anyone put forward the theory that cole is actually original human cole but he came back from "the afterlife" as a spirit with Cole's memories due to the veil being weak as **** and him being a Mage? Like, our cole is the spirit or essence of the original returned to thedas? Might make a decent origin story.
P.S. Yes I know about the line where "I sat with him in the darkness etc" but I'm ignoring it so this theory had basis damnit
