Haha, okay, now I'm just thinking it's Cameron being weirded out by the character versus Cole actually being up to possibly nefarious things. Not that I was really concerned, but one can never be too cautious on the BSN.
Being creepy doesn't mean being up to nefarious things. Whether intentional or not he definitely gives a lot of people "creepy" vibes just by his looks alone, and I'm kind of hoping he accidentally does and says creepy things too is all.

Yeah we didn't really hear too much about Cole but I was relieved when they said there were plans to reveal other VAs soon (: I can't wait to see(hear?) who voices him.

Although they did say they didn't have a VA video for all of them. I'm going to try and not get my hopes up.

Eh, honestly I would have been horrified at the idea of making him a LI. Mainly because it doesn't seem like Bioware would do an asextual relationship, and that's really the only romance I could see Cole being apart of unless he has gone through some drastic changes.
Romancing Cole the same way that the previous romances of Bioware have been done would have been ick. But do you have a quote for that to just have it in a better context?

I'm not interested in any of the guys this time around, which is pretty depressing. They're all older than usual and looked like they were made for... an older player base. It's not really bad other than the only option for a younger LI is Cullen, and he still looks at least 30. I've been preyed on too many times by gross old men to be into guys 20+ my age. I'll probably settle for Cullen but I won't be happy about it. I can only hope he proves me wrong. :/
Also David H. a while ago already stated that Cole was too preoccupied to think about his sexuality so it's not surprising.
I'm fine with being just Cole's friend, as long as I can be his bestie I don't care. Morrigan's friendship with a female Warden is my favorite relationship in DA:O.

I think a lot of this depends upon his character growth and what way it's going.
PW did mention he has changed but couldn't specify due to spoilers. Can easily see it being he's changed to be more demon/spiritlike and less human. Which in that case I don't see why a spirit with an identity crisis would bother with a romance.
I'd have only been okay with it if it was an asexual romance, and since he isn't a romance that's fine cause I'm sure they'd never do one that way. As I've said, as long as it's akin to the relationship with Morrigan as a female, I'll be happy. It was great being her friend and seeing so much growth, how much she opened up to you... I'm looking forward to that with Cole. Regardless of which direction his character growth takes. 
The no LI confirmation almost a sigh of relief moment. All those debates and aggressiveness/hate (I hear it got really bad on tumblr) could have been avoided if this was 100% confirmed earlier.
I finally went out and read Asunder, and I liked knowing more about the DA world that I'm going to try that Masked Empire, but I found Cole to be pretty straight forward. There was plenty of backstory as to why a spirit might have easily gotten into the tower because of Rhys' experiments and his medium-esque abilities, but it wasn't a spirit, it was a demon, as explained by the litany working. Everything is set up for Cole to be the "anti-justice" character, and he's a hell of a lot more interesting. Justice was a spirit morphed by Anders' emotions into something closer to a Demon. Cole is protrayed as nothing but innocent, though surrounded by tragedy. It only fits that he was a demon that got confused when it came through the fade, then was morphed by Cole's innocence and its own confusion into something that was more of a "demon moving toward spirit" as opposed to Justice's "spirit moving toward demon." The litany seemed to wake up the spirit/demon and remind it that it truly is not Cole.
I actually feel pretty gutted.. not because I wanted the guy in bed.. no, far from it ^^' I just tend to like romancing people for that added something, and because I genuinely love their personality. But I understand why he's not a LI, I just hoped something in him did change to the point he was ready for that sort of human interaction and emotion, of sorts. Kind of selfish of me to hope for, I think. You know, since he's clearly not human and is still lost in the material world.
And as you said Kisari, I'll enjoy my relationship with him just on the friendzone level. I've always absolutely adored Cole like no other character out there, and always will. As long as a friendship with him is as enriching and beautiful as an asexual/platonic romance would have been, I guess I can't complain. ^^
I would've liked a disney/nickelodeonish romance with him. Breaking through his sheepishness to get a very blushing kiss and bring some color back to him =p
