I think it would be nice to have a hug option for Cole, but I kind of wonder if that sort of option is only for LIs.
Cole is confirmed not to be an LI, because that would be creepy....

I wouldnt be creeped to date Cole ![]()
Never too much Evan Peters in the Cole thread, I always say.
But I know he's not a romance option, that was sort of my point...

Nocte didn't say he was or would be or that they wanted it.
They said they want to hug Cole but probably wont be able to because it's probably only for LIs.
So .. smiling Cole perhaps?
Only if it's like this:
Any speculations on what Cole's Specialization will be?

Probably a mix of the Shadow and Assassin.

I'd settle for a smile like this too...

Have I found a Blue Exorcist fan?
I want to see Cole smile. He deserves some smile time. c:

Yes! Although I haven't watched all of it. BF forcing me to watch DBZ at the same time, and Blood+ and a couple others.

But that's the point. That's what would be so fun. You'd never know whether you could trust him, and you'd have to choose whether to doubt him or whether to put your faith in someone who might make you forget him and then kill you and/or all your friends.
Do you know what that's called? GENIUS, man. PURE GENIUS. I'd replay a romance like that three times--first to see what it's like when you take the smart road and really communicate/help him, then again to see the darker turns--when you doubt and alienate him little by little over time and end up fighting him openly (wherein he dies, tragically/poignantly happy just to be remembered), or when you bore him by being too trusting and not respecting who he is and end up dying in his arms (or getting your friends killed) because he cracked. Oooh, and maybe there could also be a road where you never really connect and keep forgetting him until he loses hope.
That would be brilliance. Excruciatingly fun to write, excruciatingly fun to play. Granted, I don't think that's who he will be in this game, but I think that would've been rather awesome.
I don't recall seeing a creepy romance before, not ever. Sure, sometimes somewhat creepy characters like Morrigan have been romanceable, but that's not the same as a creepy romance. Imagine someone who could watch you while you're bathing, stab you while you're sleeping without being seen or heard or remembered. It's scary! You'd have to walk a fine balance to get him to respect the right boundaries and if you didn't, he might end up pushing them further and further, harming either you or everyone who sneezed in your direction. It would be fascinating on a psychological level, and fun to play the less astute characters to contrast what you did when you were trying to do right by him and help fix him.
There are just so many delectable possibilities in a setup like that. I would've been ecstatic to see it play out (although, 8 romances is crazy awesome by itself already.)
I've been longing for something like that to happen since Bishop and Atton, but... *sigh* Obsidian and finishing stuff back when they were with publishers, particularly their awesome but grudgingly-done romances, did not go together.
I'd like to see Bioware take a shot at something like this someday. A certain other character came close, but not being able to avert the big outcome was really frustrating. If they did that kind of thing Inquisition-style... I can't even begin to describe how awesome I would think that was.
I bet Cole has a cute smile. I just know I'm going to head canon him as my Quizzie's adopted child. I did it with Grunt in ME2 and I'll do it again. It will be awkward when I'm in a romance with someone who doesn't like him, but I will not care.
*pats Cole's head*
I bet he has that cute small, bashful type of smile.
Or one of those huge little-kid grins that adults seem to grow out of.
This is what I always imagined when thinking of him smiling.
Which then progresses to this at a certain friendship "level"

Is that anders in the other cage? Because if so......yeah, I can get behind that.

He's going to be the creepy unreasonable killer unfriend I hate, but keep around for game-play/content reasons

Been wondering for a while: Do u need the actual Litany of Adralla in your hands for it to work? Or could u just memorize it?
Needs to be in your hands. Magic's in the book, not just the words.
Sort of relevant I guess, considering the scene with Lambert and Cole.
Mmm that makes sense with the book. After all I was able to do that Circle quest with a dwarf and they where able to use the book no problem.
I'm more curious to how many of those are laying around, because for some reason in my head I picture Lambert tossing it over his shoulder once Cole was revealed when he was finished with the book. Which can't be right (I don't have my book on hand since I lent it out)

Tossing the book aside, [Lambert] raised his sword and charged.
I tried to find if he picked it up again or not, but I think he just ran when Wynne showed up, leaving it behind.
I can't quote 'cause I have the kindle version, but he throws it down when he fights Cole, then retrieves it and shows it to him, then "put the book away".Tossing the book aside, [Lambert] raised his sword and charged.
