Cole sounded so good! Very excited to see him moving and interacting with the Quizzie/people. My need for DAI instant gratification has increased by 1000.

Popping in here just to say that Cole's voice was superb! I loved it and it matched perfectly with what I'd imagined when reading him. So happy.

Cole's voice sounded lovely! His face didn't look quite as creepy as I thought, either. I just wish he'd take off that awful hat, it makes him look ten times more creepy.

Well at least people can get over the ridiculous notion he was possessing the Lord Seeker now.
Now we can just hope for Lambert to make a physical appearance and dissuade folks of the notion he is dead.

I wonder how he will react to a inquisitor who sides with the templars
I am honestly curious about how the demon would react to that.
DAI has me curious about a lot, even more so then DA 2 ever did.

I don't think I made @bbattye cry with my explanation for why Cole disapproved of her decision, but it wasn't for lack of trying.

Also, semi-relatedly, doing approval/disapproval for followers can get A TEENSY BIT DARK.

Aw that's exciting!
So Cole does indeed have his own set of morals outside of "help people". Makes total sense too, and I'd say most of my Inquisitors agree with him.

Maybe Lambert is part of Cole's loyalty mission or something like that? It's a bit strange that the timeline in the web page lampshades his sudden disappearance.

For context: in Cole's (sadly rather extensive) experience of prison, it's just a crueler, more drawn-out version of execution. It makes sense that he would see a quick death as the kinder option of the two.

Interesting... yeah that seems like it could be a reasonable viewpoint. Thanks for the clarification. I'll continue to try to keep an open mind, but this guy seems a bit... odd. We'll see what happens when the game comes out.

Was pretty obvious from Asunder that Cole views death as mercy. While he's perfectly capable of making the decision not to kill still, I have a feeling he views prison to be more cruel. I can see where he's coming from. You arrest a criminal, your choice is prison or execution. Prison, the guy would slowly waste away, lose his mind, possibly be tortured. Cole likely views execution to be the kinder alternative over letting someone rot away completely alone in a stinky gross prison cell.
Since he has Human!Cole's memories, he knows firsthand how horrible it is... Not strange for his character at all.

Forgive me for being confused, but I didn't read Asunder, so I don't know much about Cole's nuances... was that not obvious from my posts? He seems confusing and unconventional to put it mildly, so I have mixed feelings about the character. Right now, the fact that he's a rogue with stealth abilities is the main reason I'm considering giving him a chance. His storyline might be roadblock I can't get past, but it's worth investigating rather than writing him off entirely...

I think Lambert survived his assassination attempt by cole, but after that...
Who knows, he could be in the fade for all i know.

do you want the basics, or the story in it's full spoilers glory, cuz I'm willing to explain most of it.Forgive me for being confused, but I didn't read Asunder, so I don't know much about Cole's nuances... was that not obvious from my posts? Apologies, did not mean to seem condescending. I didn't see it as obvious you hadn't read it. I have issues communicating without sounding b#$%^y though so that's my fault.
Since you haven't read it, there is a synopsis on the front page that summarizes a lot of major points of Asunder that deal with Cole. It's lengthy but not nearly as much as the book.

Well, I guess I could have phrased my concerns more tactfully, considering the fact that I was addressing a thread full of Cole fans...
No harm, no foul. I think I'll take a look at the synopsis though, just so that I'm more up to speed.

Oh no... I appreciate the offer, but you don't have to do that. I read this thread and the wiki from time to time to learn what I can about Asunder and Cole, but I'm sure I'll have enough info by November.

Hahaha no problem, and I'll be honest, laying out the story for one of the (IMO) most interesting characters in the game is not exactly a burden.Well, I guess I could have phrased my concerns more tactfully, considering the fact that I was addressing a thread full of Cole fans...
