Ultimately you dismissing a view simply because you view as a "bias" is limiting.
It's funny but it seems no matter what is argued the opposing sides will always find some way to label the other as the myopic one. ![]()

Alright, time for a little intervention.
1. The conviction in this thread should be toned down a little bit. I would understand this level of zeal from real life issues, but this is fiction. Respect your fellow thread-goers, try to understand their viewpoints. Some people seem to be staunch defenders of the fictional templar way of thinking. Some people are die hard fans that just want to baby Cole. Many others are in the middle and just enjoy this fictional character and the existential crisis and moral ambiguity he brings. Let me reiterate, fictional.
2. The Fade is a part of Thedas. Just as much as Ferelden, Tevinter, or Orlais. It's denizens have a place in the world, regardless of how alien (to us, the players/fans) the Fade may seem to be. It is expected to see another character being created to represent this aspect of the game world. This doesn't mean you should expect Wynne, Justice, Anders, Sophia Dryden, Sloth, the rhyming tree, or whatever 2.0. Also, food for thought, the Veil didn't exist at some point in Thedas' history. The physical realm and Fade were one. From the wiki:
- In Dragon Age: The Silent Grove, Yavana says that there was a time "before the Veil, before the mysteries were forgotten," when dragons ruled the skies.
3. Do not insult the developers. Do not throw hate around to Gaider, Weekes, the team leads, the designers, the artists, the animators, anyone. This is their creation, their time and effort, sweat and blood. They choose to make things as they see fit. They are passionate about the story they're crafting and it's a collaborative process. Please don't **** on it because you think they're retconning something or doing anything else that isn't to your liking. It's theirs, not yours. If you think you can do better, I implore you to go create something and i'm not trying to be snarky. Some of the best literature and media was made because of disappointment in other stories. And we could do with more creativity in the world and less bickering.
It's funny but it seems no matter what is argued the opposing sides will always find some way to label the other as the myopic one.
It's either because the person is too weak to expect that certain realities of the world are for the betterment of all, or because that person can't comprehend why something is needed, why some ideal needs to be toted.
Both sides of every argument ever have claimed as much: Their version is the right one, you simply do not see it.
I don't see what being a dev has to do with it. It's about accepting something as possibly being different or dismissing it as something old you've already seen but in a new coat. You don't need to be a dev to be able to do either.
No, me accepting or rejecting are both ultimately pointless.
The Lore automatically will be the lore, and that is out of my hands.
My own personal take on things is pretty irrelevant in the grand scheme of things.

So.... why do you feel the need to share it then? ![]()

A dozen different reasons ranging from boredom to seeing notions i disagree with.

I see. Anyway, let's get back on topic.
User
did you manage to make Cole angry/shout at you?
Patrick Weekes @PatrickWeekes
I'm sorry, AssQuisitor Trevelyan does not remember anyone by that name.
So Cole choosing to leave takes the memory away in game?
..it would be amusing if you still had his original armor when that happened and you spent way too long trying to figure out who on earth did this and hey dorian solas remember when we went to that one dungeon..do you remember how we unlocked all those doors? Don't hold out on me one of you guys must be a master lockpick.
thats the popular responseUmm I haven't read Asunder yet and don't know that much about his backstory............but whether he be demon or evil...kid clearly needs a hug
i can't be the only one right?

No, its pretty popular, like supporting modern western hemisphere rights and procedures in a feudalistic setting. but he needs more then a hug <.<
He needs a banishing.
So if Cole is really wearing nail polish I'm hoping that means our pc's can get their nails done ![]()

Well i was jokingly hoping it was nail polish. Thats a lot of dirt then. He does look dusty in some of the pics. I hope we can help clean him up a bit, send him to a spa or something.

It could even be part of design to help some he's not human
Nothing is known. Again only a guess.
I was driving past a house today and I found Cole.
i think hes a reverse possesion personally explaining his aging. I think i was misunderstood haha forgot to proof readNothing is known. Again only a guess.
Whatever he is, he might be the best a first step to finding out a way to make spirits and demons less dangerous to humans. Give them a way to have an emotional range other than an extreme at one end of one thing, give them more control over themselves, maybe give them better ways to make physical bodies so they don't have to posses people if they want to leave the fade.
Or maybe it will totally go wrong and he'll turn out to be dangerous. But the whole spirit/fade risk and danger is never going to change unless we take chances to learn about it and try and change it.

Actually, that black finger nails are only appeared on the red armor set, not the gray one.
So nail polish to fit the style? ![]()
