That could be it.
I assumed it was red because it was unusable - in the same manner spells like Group Heal were unavailable unless you had Spirit Healer active in DA2. It could be that the red colour simply means it is unique to Cole.
Though, I don't see any oddly-coloured talents for Solas or Blackwall.
Could be.... or could be Assassin Skill. Blood, red, etc.
I'm curious of what the significance of 7 is in that skill icon if it is a skill specific to Cole.

Mostly likely the hypocritical deserter from Tevinter, the Apostate elf and Blackwall.
.-. I don't fault Blackwall if he does, he has been tainted for a long time and likely is suffering ill effects on his mental faculties.

Cole seems the type to some castle exploring late at night. Cole would steal one of Vivienne hats while wearing his own hat and run around the keep choreographing dance routines.

Speaking about my raggedy child, who do you think would compliment the boy most in the banters? I think he, Dorian, and Solas would make a nice team. Solas is already partial to him, I'm told. Solas and Iron Bull have been said to be friendly with Cole by Patrick Weekes too. While Vivienne and Sera, at least at first, won't like Cole but the devs also brought up that the characters develop and their opinions can change over time.

In fact that is exactly kind of thing Cole will do.
If you're truly an a*shole, he will be angry about it but he won't turn into a demon to punish you for what you did. He will just be disappointed and walk away.
Dorian, you mean? He and Cole honestly would be great friends! Blackwall seems a bit of an odd choice but considering how kind he seems, he and Cole would be natural friends! Never thought of that.

Both Blackwall and Cole can hear the song of Old Gods, they have something in common.
Varric is a funny and reasonable guy, so I guess it won't be a problem.
Looks like Sera has some serious issues with demons, but she has a soft heart. I will bring Cole during her personal quest to test if it's possible to bend on her attitude to Cole.
Vivienne won't get along well with Cole, they are not the same kind of people.

I honestly can't see Cassandra being nice to anyone... besides maybe Varric. Solas, IB, and Dorian are definitely going to be nice to him , no doubt.
Sera seems to have had a bad experience with demons because it is really unusual to be this scared of something you have no knowledge about. I'll bring Cole too but I doubt it'll change much. Kinda like bringing Miranda on Jack's LM or Tali and Legion to their respective missions. The saddest thing about it is that Cole most likely won't even hate her for her meanness, like Merrill towards Anders and Fenris. He'll just try harder to make her like him....
