Oh my goodness, it's so beautiful!

I’m self medicating with silly drawings of Cole.
Everyone in the Inquisition with the exception of Blackwall have no hair or keep it cropped short…
maybe they get bored and take advantage of Cole’s because he doesn’t care how he looks
just don’t stare at him.

He doesn’t like the attention.
Cole stole some cheese and mint. Burned Turnips. Puts daggers in a barrel because they're safer there... (from the livestream)

thank god he doesn't live in the dungeon, what a relief.
I loved it when the cooks mentioned Cole. Caught on straight away when they said they couldn't remember his face.

He was in the top level of the tavern, right?

Yup! They did mention it's still being rebuilt though and throughout the game your companions would make places their homes. So maybe it could change? I think it's nice he's at the tavern though. He does like to people watch, and it looks like he's found himself a nice corner.

It's probably a safe bet to assume the companions might have rooms or places they gravitate towards but will probably be found in other places occasionally. I mean...assuming they keep evolving the home base like they have been in the last few Bioware titles. DA2 had the characters visit eachother in cinematics. ME3 had them actually move locations to other rooms.
I wish they explored more options with Cole. I got so excited when they started talking to him, I wouldn't scold him when the time comes though :3

I just want to know why.
Why did he burn the turnips? Does he hate them? Does Sera or Vivienne like them and this is his passive aggressive way of getting revenge? Does the cook make them for the evening feasts all the time and he's just like: nope tired of this **** *sabotage*
Why did he need/want a whole cheese wheel. I hope he doesn't plan on trying to eat it all himself.
And a whole bundle of mint. I mean I can appreciate a good herbal mint tea but for some reason I doubt this was the reason...

He burned the turnips because turnips taste awful.
Poor Cole. I kind of want to give him a hug.

I'm wondering too. His reasoning for hoarding the daggers was because "they were safer there". There was also an option on the wheel asking him about putting plums by the windows.
Screenshot from the twitch video under cut so people can avoid:
I can't fault his logic though. Those daggers probably were safer in that barrel.
He is so gonna be my inquisitor's protégé.
I will feel sad when my inquisitor scolds Cole, but at the same time he probably needs it ![]()
Also, I can't help but wonder if "you won't" [hear about it again] is code for "right, next time I'll wipe everyone's memories so they can't tell you about it." ![]()

He was trying to learn how to cook! the burnt turnips the mint and cheese and plum all make sense! and the knives... um... maybe he just uses a different knife every time he slices a piece of the cheese wheel?
I would seriously laugh if Cole tries to take up culinary cooking as a hobby.
i'll never scold him
he will be like my favorite little sibling, a dagger throwing villain killing little sibling
I won't scold him for such things too. I mean some stolen cheese is nothing to get angry about, and I find his reason for the hidden daggers too cute.
I hope he will get comfortable in the tavern, it's better than sitting in the dungeon or in the stable (like Blackwall) guess he likes the company there, even if they don't notice him. But pls Cole don't drink ok, we don't want you to sing dirty songs and run around naked with only your hat on!

Patrick Weekes @PatrickWeekes
In his defense, Cole had a really good reason for doing that with the turnips.
