It's better that way.

Looks like today is the day I start my media blackout. I cleaned house in the OP a bit in preparation for the deluge of information at release. Aside from that...I hope everyone has a good launch day and I hope everyone finds Cole as quickly as possible.
(Note: If they add a companion video showcasing Cole, I'll add it to the OP as soon as I'm able)
Halloween Cole is far too adorable.
Trick or Treat!And Happy Halloween!
Don't be followed by weird ghost.
Spoiler
I'm confused. Why does Cole burn turnips in Inquisition? Are they substitutes for Templars? If so, why does he hate Templars? I know he doesn't particular like them, but he was friends with Evangeline, and she was a Templar.
Someone please enlighten me. I've obviously missed something.
I wonder if we'll get to ask Cole why he's so attached to that hat. Does the sun hurt his eyes? Does he enjoy pretending to be a large umbrella? For now it's a mystery...
It's part of the Pax Aus video on crafting (thread here: http://forum.bioware...h-dai-crafting/ )
They don't talk about Cole, this was just a brief moment on screen but I was quick to hit print screen, lol.

maybe cause he was invisible for so long that it acts like safety blanket. Gives him tge illusion he's invisible(tho he could just do whatever he did)I wonder if we'll get to ask Cole why he's so attached to that hat. Does the sun hurt his eyes? I just don't know what else to say. He will be the rouge of my party.

Aww, that's really adorable! Sounds fitting too. I guess if the brim of the hat obscures whoever he's talking to, it's sort of a 'I can't see you, so you can't see me' thing.
Cole

Yesssss!
Or as I like to call him: Cole Langdon hah
May be the hat is the reason we can see him. That's why he can't take it off, or he'll go invisible. The only time we've seen him without it is on his character screen and may be that is because he was deliberately making himself visible. On the whole he seems much happier when he's in the shadows and that hat casts a permanent shadow around him. No doubt he'll explain when we get to meet him.
As for the turnip thing, may be his dad was a turnip farmer - bad memories and all that.
Perhaps the turnips are a stand-in for templars? He draws little eyes and Swords of Mercy on them and then lights them on fire.
Sounds like a fun campfire game!
I can't hate Cole after reading Asunder. That made me interested in the character. I'm just wary of what he is or what he'll become.
Really, really curious about how they'll deal with the forgetting thing though and how we'll meet him.
Also, I wish if you played as a Mage you could turn some enemies into toads for him to gain affection and satisfy his curiosity. That would make me smile.

I'm wondering if it could be a relic from his past like his mother's dagger, it does seem to suggest he's attached to it for one reason or another. Or we're all just overthinking about it it and it's just meant to be his 'style' like Varric's chest hair exposure.
I put this here to show my understanding of coles character. I did not mean to offend. Thats the jist of what I have learned from cole personality from looking up research material online. That he knows to some degree he is not of the mortal relam.Nope its ment to be an lantern for his lost soul bwwwa hahaha. (irish halloween origin story turnip lanturn to ward off evil) burn turnips to ward off demons lol

So...icy gray?
I didn't like Cole much in Asunder. I felt sorry for him, but I just couldn't like him, with all that serial killing he did. And I was super wary when he was announced as a companion--I was afraid he'd be Anders crossed with Fenris. Unlikeable, whiny, and angsty.
But now, after reading the interview with his writer, I have to say I'm much more fond of him now. That line about how it doesn't matter that people won't remember him helping, just that he did help, particularly struck a chord in me--it's very mature. It's so nice to see how he's grown up, and I'm looking forward to him joining my party now. He sort of makes me think of Angel from Angel crossed with Merrill.
And that hat is simultaneously hideous and cute :3
I think he just doesn't like turnips, personally ![]()
