Also confuses me. Shouldn't he still be a Mage since the original was a Mage? I mean being a Spirit-type Rogue sounds way more badass, but I guess it has something to do with when he started killing people and just decided to stick to daggers.

Edit: Ah I forgot, Cole was never trained as a Mage, duh.

I wonder if he's able to accidentally do any kind of magic, or whether that ability is tied to the original Cole. Nothing fancy, just like 'oh no, this fork flipped off the table' or 'a napkin set on fire'. I imagine he probably can't, but it would be interesting. Well, not if Skyhold burnt down, but I'm sure one of the mages has a handy ice spell if necessary.

Well, he did have some experience with a dagger and being invisible...

Sounds like a rogue to me is some way. :)

Except rogues can employ stealth and camouflage, Cole can literally vanish into thin air. That's definitely magic.

Despite All personal interest to his character as he appears in Inquisition, he is also have great deal of gameplay synergy , as i think about it in Mutually respectful and Bees from the Mouth Psychedelics Teams : i.e. with Solas, who is support mage who provide barriers and cc to ensure ease and safety of Cole's job, and Blackwall/Cassy who are both tanks who have ability to generate threat and pull attention from him.

I think all we know is the group composition with Solas, Cole, and Cassandra is called "respectful theological and moral debate".

there been mentions that they get along pretty well actually, i do not remember where but i surely saw something alike. The are team Team Mutually Respectful Moral and Theological Debate  with Solas. This means they will have some respectful moral depate going along, while they are Team I Swear I Will Pull this Inquisition Over Right Now if You Don't Stop with Sera instead of Solas, which hate authority (like Cass) and hate and do not talk with Cole percieving him as awful demon, where Cole and Cass are one camp it seems, since the new helping attitude of Cole could find sympathy within Cassy heart during the story  (i guess so).

I hope that Sera and Cole behave like bickering siblings more than actual hatred. I think it fits Sera's character better too. And it'd make the "I'm going to turn this car right around if you don't stop hitting your brother" stance from Cass make a lot more sense too.

heh, this could be also the case, who knows, (well, BioWare knows)

We'll see, i am really anxious to see it. Only thing i plan to ignore Sera in my first play-through. She also does not synergizes well with setup i going to pull, and personality of my lawful bit snobish aristocratic adamantly-Aequtarian, chantry respecting mage Inquisitor (Yeah, in case of Cole he will have another Aequtarian buddy this time). I will run teams Mutually Respectful and Bees from Mouth and other psychedelics as main setups, and will mix some other characters in case plot line will be fitting their backgrounds.

I like the setup, these are may faves. But my inquisitor will pick up the protector job, make sure Cole is safe and sound.

Cole being my favorite person in the series, I want to know his thoughts on a dwarf. He doesn't actually know one personal, but he will get a huge dose of dwarves between my character and Varric. So I would like to witness their banter, and also his banter with someone who wants to banish him.

I haven’t started to dislike anyone, Vivienne’s ambition is clearly not my type, but I normally enjoy ice queen manner and her “my dear” melted my heart. And Sera, she was the first one who caught my eyes, but her attitude against Cole hurts me, it’s a love driven disappointment I guess. Anyway, I will probably burst out in tears if she finally accept Cole. Just to imagine what a lovely day will be, to witness Cole changed someone’s heart.

Well if Aveline and Isabella can put aside their differences, than I believe Cole and Sera or Cole and Vivienne can grow to find some common ground!

I defenitely will try to connect and link and negotiate between Vivienne and Cole. Its part of my plan, to gather all moderate mages, good spirits, moderate chantry values, and more modern approach on all things fade and magic into one lawful dutiful  aequtarian gameplay, of Inquisitor character who is closer by spirit to Irving or Rhys.At least for my first play. :)

Well I dislike Sera already. That attitude stinks. She doesn't know Cole and she's already mean to him. Seriously? Are you 12?

Well, okay, basically I dislike everyone who is mean to Cole. But my argument still stands.

I love Cole, but Sera's fear of him is understandable. Her rudeness, less so, but she's young and immature...so she can grow. I mean, it basically sounds like the Breach is gonna be a huge catalyst for change for her so I have high hopes that she'll come around there.

Yeah but she's either the leader of the Red Jenny cabal thing or high up in its hierarchy and she's like Thedas' version of some kind of political agitator/lobbyist. I think she's childlike in her demeanour perhaps but not in her AGE. I actually think she's slightly older than Dorian, like early thirties.

who knows tbh the casts ages vary so its safe to say cass is 36 or dorian is 28. Theres a lot of leeway

Hopefully it ends up that way, even if it starts off more caustic. Something like Isabela and Aveline, but more sibling-like. Since I'm planning on having Sera as LI and bringing Cole along all the time, they'll just have to get along one way or another.

I'm not putting up with another Fenris & Merrill situation!
