He looks...bigger than I imagined him.

Even though I knew he wouldn't, I was hoping that if Cole was a companion, he'd have the body of a child as well. A little kid running around defeating experienced veterans would have been fun to see.

He looks like he's probably normal human male height, but looks taller than average cos he's standing next to an elf and a dwarf. And maybe it's just his clothes, but he looks rather barrel chested/broad shouldered.....

I'm intrigued by Cole. I tend to have a soft spot for damaged characters so we'll see how he turns out in the game.

I am slightly disappointed with his reveal, but not because I don't like him, I think he is a very well written and interesting character, it's just I am not comfortable putting someone who IMO, is essentially a child in my party to face demons and armies of trained killers, so not sure if I will be using him very much, which would be a shame. If he has become more mature between the end of Asunder and when we meet him in Inquisition then I might be more open to bringing him along.

I love that Cole has more hints at being in the game! but if that is him (who else could it be?) i'm a little off-put by how.... broad he looks... I've imagined him slim built... not necessarily short just... slim... sorta makes me think of Kirstoff right now

Yes it's annoying when male characters must all be huge chunks of muscle(other than the elves).

And if not, then choosing who goes with you is 11.11...% easier.

He's even bigger than DHMG, though, so it is a little surprising.

I am so excited about Cole. Wanted him to be a companion since the game was announced and the book released.

I agree, his body is a lot bigger than I imagined. I expected weedy and starved, but his hair is spot on!

That might be it.  Armor tends to make guys look bigger than they are.

XD I didn't see that coming. Not many Gears of War fans about I suspect. 

 

Having not read the book, I don't have an idea about his character, but I do like his design and from what I have read about him on the boards, he sounds like an interesting character,

What does everyone think Cole's reason for joining the Inquisition is?

 

I think it's possible Rhys and Evangeline could die at the peace talks where the breach opens and he might join to avenge them. 

 

Maybe it's something to do with Lambert, though?
