Don't worry, man. I think he actually looks pretty good.
I'll have to decide when we see him up close. He's not what I was expecting, but it could be worse. lol

What does everyone think Cole's reason for joining the Inquisition is?
I think it's possible Rhys and Evangeline could die at the peace talks where the breach opens and he might join to avenge them.
I'm really nervous about who's going to be at the peace conference now... There might be a good chance Rhys and Evangeline wouldn't attend, but Fiona is the leader of the mages...augh.
Hoping Adrian will go in her place or something. But you're right, I could see Rhys and Evangeline's deaths being a possible reason for Cole joining the Inquisition. But I hope not...
Huh. As far as I can tell, nobody's made a Cole Train reference...
Woo?
I made the Cole Train joke a long time ago ![]()

I just wonder if the leaders of the fraternities would be there, because that's like most of the Asunder characters probably gone. ![]()
And yeah, he does look more like Dante than Evan Peters, at least as far as I can tell right now.
Probably won't know for sure until we get a close-up. But he still feels Cole-y, so I'm okay with it.

Gonna be painful right off the bat... And poor Divine, I liked her. If she dies it's really going to get ugly...

I feel pretty confident that the Divine will probably die, because that would explain why characters like Cassandra, Leliana and Cullen are a part of the Inquisition now and not the Chantry actual.

Yeah, it does make sense.
What if the peace conference involved the mage and seeker/templar factions, with the chantry mediating? And Cole was possessing Lambert? Maybe he intended to end the war as Lambert. And then the Breach happens. What does everyone think Cole's reason for joining the Inquisition is?

Maybe it's something to do with Lambert, though?
Cole seemed to be desperately lonely and do anything to keep Rhys from dying or sending him away. It wouldn't surprise me if Rhys and Evangeline die though and that's what sends Cole off on his way. Or if that bond was somehow broken otherwise and he found (probably stumbles upon), or perhaps searched, for companionship elsewhere in the Inquisitor and company. Maybe Rhys sends him away for (maybe) being a demon?
Aw no I just looked at the little snippit that Gaider had written some time ago with Cole talking to this unknown person about Eva and Rhys. It does have this feeling of it was impossible for Cole to go and see the two again, though I always figured Gaider wrote it for the feels or something. Has to be.
I would like to think they wont be killed off, at least not so early because of the potential the two have as characters, and didn't they go off to some place we aren't going? (I forget the name, but I just remember it was on the list of places we can't go to)
I always got the feeling at the end of Asunder Cole was unable to go back to Rhys because the 'reveal' made it way too dangerous for him to. Probably thinks they're mad at him for not being real, so he went and murdered Lambert as pay back for ruining his relationship with Rhys (and getting him out of the way for them without them knowing)

I'm inclined to believe that he's another companion finding somewhere to belong. Zevran, Oghren, and Nathaniel come to mind as earlier examples. Which is good, cause I like these kinds of character arcs.

WHOOOO!
I was hoping for Cole's story to be continued, and I'm really looking forward to seeing him in the game. It's going to be interesting to see how he has developed and will develop, now that he is aware of what he truly is. ![]()
(Gonna have to control my mother instincts, though. I confess I'm one of those people who just want to hug and protect poor, lost creatures, nevermind any creepiness.)
“I miss Rhys,” he said. “And Evangeline. They were my friends.”

CSI: BSN - Activation sequence initiated.
I'll be so mad if the reason Cole is with us is because everyone else in Asunder died in the blast.
Oh god, it could be a reason for them to make Cole going all emo ![]()
Cole: "I lost everyone! Waaaaaaaa"
Inquisitor: "Shut up, Cole. Nobody cares what you think."

Well, Cole was also my least favorite of the three: Cole, Evangeline, and Thys. So to have the two I liked much more killed off and hear him moan about it will be like salt in the wound.
I'm also worried they'll kill Fiona and Justinia off.

It does sound like Justinia and Fiona will get killed during the blast. I mean, they are the leaders of their factions.

Great. One bad news after the other. ![]()
I'm just really hoping none of them do... the only character I hated in Asunder went missing at the end.. I feel like this end would be horrible for all of them... I mean Cole was my favorite but ..yeah
Great. One bad news after the other.
Its still not certain yet ofcourse. Personally I think it would be a waste if they killed all those characters off.
I completely forgot about this, from Gaider's blog in response to a comic by Aimo if I remember right:
Varric: “Seeker, you wouldn’t know what happened to my ‘Fifty Shades of Grey Warden’ notes, would you?”Cassandra: “Of course not. Why would I?”Cole (head pops up over nearby wall): “They’re in your room.”Cassandra: “What? Who are you? Why would you know such a thing?”Cole: “You talked to me about it last night. In the pantry. You said you hoped Warden Stroud ended up with his true love.”Cassandra: “I… I…”Cole: “I like how you sighed when you said it.”Varric: “That true, Seeker?”Cassandra: “I said no such thing. The boy is delirious.”Varric: “Ah. I guess you don’t need to know how it ends, then.”Cassandra: *muffled squeak*Cole: “Ohhh. Is she going to explode?”Varric: “Maybe. Might want to stand clear of the blast radius, son.”
Aha found it and while I was looking I stumbled across this again. pleeeeeeeeeease make this a thing ogod
Had a feeling Cole might be in the game
(though admittedly, nothing is confirmed yet).
Random thought - throughout Asunder, I simply assumed all the characters were Orlesian, since they were brought to the White Spire. So would Cole possibly have an Orlesian accent?
Quite possibly. Though was Cole the boy from Orlais?
