Semi confirmed rumor: Cole is perpetually blurry in every picture and scene.

Even with only background blurry pics he's definitely giving me "awkward sad young man" vibes. He's looking much better than in that first shot with him in it where he looked really buff. xD

Speaking of awkward, I'm really hoping there's some decent comedic relief with him...maybe with the help of some of the more carefree companions. I'd like to see him crack a smile...at least once.

I love how he looks in that pic from the trailer.

I watched it with my boyfriend and he was like "tut.. he looks like the perfect guy <_<" - I was just like.. erm.. He's the opposite to perfect and that's why I kind of love his appearance. I don't want some bulky, buff hottie - that's not Cole. I mean, yeah he's cute but he's still the guy I imagined in my head.

And erm.. not sure if anyone else noticed but.. *cough* they made his trousers pretty tight.. *shakes fist as Bioware*.

 

EDIT - oh and I love how he doesn't wear gloves (I think). (:

Oh me too! If my inquisitor manages to make him smile once.. or even laugh just a little.. I will be over the moon. I can't imagine how Cole would smile or laugh since his face seems to be stuck in emo mode. (meant with love towards Cole. I love his moodiness ) - I do want to see him be able to be happy for once.

EDIT - it makes me sad to think that Cole probably has no concept of what humour is.. I can't see him ever being capable of being amused by something. Maybe a smile if we're accepting of him and all that.. but *sigh* I want to make him happy. He deserves that at least.

You ask a nearby party member of what's going on, they say he noticed a little bird on the ground, looked up and saw a nest and you pretty much can put two and two together.

then if you approach the tree you could hear Cole saying quietly to the birds "It's nice...having somewhere you belong to, right?"

And regarding cute little moments with him, even though it's highly probable we'll never see our lovely little emo laugh, I have this scenario in my head of our inquisitor and Varric laughing at a joke Varric told, Cole just standing awkwardly close by, slowly cracking a smile and attempting to laugh just because they were laughing - even though he didn't even get the joke. Wow that would be so precious.

I'm not disappointed per say, I love her and can't wait to interact with her further in DA:I

That means we still potentially have Dorian, Solas, and Varric for character profiles and maybe then we'll get Cole.

What I'd like:

Bioware to continue to reveal all companions for the next week or so, including our advisors. (I imagine Cole would be the last companion revealed, however )

 

What I expect:

Bioware to perhaps reveal Varric and/or Dorian over the weekend, and wait for pax or gamescom to reveal the rest.

 

I personally think the latter is a little unfair on fans that have nothing to work with, but I won't kick up a fuss about it. We've had some really cool reveals so far. (can't decide who I want to tank for me! Decisions!)
