I just thought I'd post some fan art of Cole, especially since this piece is called ''look into my eyes''
And let's face it, fan art is as close as we're getting to seeing a non-blurry pic of Cole for a looooong while XP

Poor Coley moley.. even though we're being starved of information about you, as well as screenies/pics, we still love you.
I can imagine him and Solas becoming friends, or more interestingly, teacher/pupil kind of relationship.
Solas being an expert on the fade, trying to unravel the mistery of Cole and Cole himself helping Solas due to his own curiosity.
Would be interesting to see to say the least.
I'm feeling like they'll do Varric tomorrow and then stop. I'm thinking Solas/Dorian/Cole will be at the next game convention. Of course, I really hope I'm wrong.
And yeah I really want to do a blackout as I know I'll enjoy the game already, I don't need to know anything more but I just gotta get a confirmation and a close up of him! ; ; Everyone else gets pretty HD pictures....

And even then, isn't that a while to go between announcing companions when all the others sans the ninth have been revealed in some capacity? I mean, Dorian and Solas haven't gotten their own blurbs or whatnot but they've appeared in magazines and Dorian's name was confirmed... Seems odd. Wouldn't they have companions now and have things like the Keep for marketing closer to September (it is supposed to be out at least a month before launch, no?)
Hell, I should just go on my black out sooner or later and find some kind soul to PM me when or if Cole is ever shown...

Gamescon is next I think, yes. I personally just fear that's how it'll go as Cole has absolutely nothing on him so far. Unlike every other companion, he's not in ANY concept art we've been shown, and not anything except standing awkwardly in the background of in-game shots. No mentioning him and we only just recently got dev posts in his thread here! I'm assuming it's because he was in Asunder, but surely a confirmation and a picture can't be that spoilery... I honestly think you could avoid a lot of spoilers by only checking the Cole thread. A lot of spoilery stuff from DA2 that I remember when I followed it up until release was shown in videos and stuff, so as long as you stayed in here I think you could avoid it.
Dorian fans are lucky, they got to see him in action and talking even if it was hard to hear.
The only tidbit is this was posted in the Scribbles thread. Possibility of it being Cole from the white hair but otherwise...

As someone in the Scribbles thread suggested, maybe he bonds with her like he did Rhys and they have a Mother/Son kind of relationship.

I'm guessing everyone will be assigned their own rooms. Whether or not Cole likes and/or stays in his room is up for debate though. Maybe he'd prefer something more...dungeon like considering how much time he spent in the Pit. (I think that's what it was called if I remember right?)

Really can't make out what's happening here. Is this an example of Cole "preying on the living" as opposed to joining them? You know.. depending on the decisions your inq makes, how they act towards Cole etc. If you anger him, does it switch a flick and out comes bad-Cole? I hope that doesn't come across too incoherently.. I'm in one of those moods where I can't write down what I'm thinking very effectively. o.o
And regarding the comment that said Cole is hugging her.. hmm.. while it's possible, she looks a bit too shocked for that.. idk? And the way Cole is standing right there doesn't seem to look like he's really hugging her lol.
Ahhh possibilities! What if he attacks Scribbles?! What if he loves her? (pfft, I'm the female equivalent to Rhys, thank you very much Scribe lady. Find your own Cole )
EDIT - Looking at it, it seems like maybe he made her jump. Just standing there silently in a dark room or something while Scribbles is writing a report or something, then she realises he's just standing there behind her. That seems to make a lot of sense to me
EDIT again - Hmm actually I don't know.. his red shoulder cape (if that is indeed his) seems to be overlapping where we would be able to see Scribbles' shoulder. I'm just going to stop trying to figure it out. It'll drive me insane. (:

I'd say might as well assume it's a good pic and not a bad one, since he is in our party. He can't be stabbity-ing everyone on a consistent basis.

No concept art of him, nope. He's been unmentioned and ignored so far. 
Let me put it this way...if Cole knows what is good for him, he will think twice before hurting Scribbles. He should remember my character pretty much kills Fade entities for a living.
That said, I think it is a look of surprise as in she was not expecting the hug since it is out of character for him unless he really bonds well with someone.

He spent a long time alone deep down in The Pit.. for some reason, I get the feeling he'd try to stay away from the darkness as much as possible since, to him, darkness equals loneliness. Then again, he seems to feel he belongs there. He'll probably chill near a window somewhere in a dark room to contemplate "life". Yeah. That sounds like Cole. (:

So his room'll be at the top of one of Skyhold's towers? I would like that.
Soooo I finished Asunder today and suffice it to say I am buzzing with speculation. And questions. First of all: If Cole is a demon which kind is he? That is one of the (many) flaws in the Seeker's logic since Cole does not really act like any demon we have seen before. He seems to take on an amalgam of traits. Is he a desire demon because of his desire to help the original Cole and murder? Is he a fear Demon?
Also, how does everyone think his powers will manifest themselves in the game? Will companions start forgetting him and then when he is in the party, lets say Varric, says "Marker's Breath, who are you!...oh Cole you startled me." And if he can still make people forget him now and has access to his powers and can manipulate is that not something we'll have access to in game? Would that not be overpowered? Obviously it will cost Mana/ Stamina because it seemed to take a physical tole on him, but how can it work considering he has an effective invisibility ability?

I believe the majority think Cole is some sort of Shade rather than a spirit or demon, as in a Fade entity that lives in the real world without possessing anything.

Personal theory is that the original spirit was one of Compassion, and subsequent time spent in the world/getting too involved with real!Cole's identity has messed things up and twisted the way such a core value gets expressed (hence the killings based on a sense of despair - he can just about justify such an act to himself as mercy since the victims 'want to die'). But that's because I'm a soppy so-and-so who isn't convinced spirits and demons aren't two sides of the exact same coin.
