That's a really good idea!
Awwwww it looks like he's about to cry. Who has treated you bad, Cole? Inquee's gonna make them PAY.
There isn't much fanart out there, but I'm sure it'll become more plentiful with the new screenshot and beyond. And...if anyone gets inspired to make some for this thread, lets keep it clean so this thread doesn't have to get mod edited please.
I would gladly, but since my art skills are crappy all I can do is fanfiction T_T

Not sure what do you mean exactly here...
As for the way he looked in the group shot, I always say that Biowares cinematics (certianly with DA) always look really jarring and strange when compared to the ingame models. Even if it is closer to the engin now, I don't think that was actually done with the ingame engine and they did render it to look a lot more 'detailed' which tends to lose a lot of the games design of the characters. His hair does sort of look flopped on, but if you look at everyone elses hair it has that same sort of 'texture' rather then the fluff that would be associated with Cole from his descriptions and the back of the book.
Another thing, I really hope we have like, tavern down time or just time down from traveling somewhere to relax in a keep. It would give us lovely time to interact with the characters, maybe in small groups, see how they act during a down time and how they are to each other besides banter. My favorite banters in the game always involved more then just two of the characters, and to see how Cole deals with talking with more then one person at a time would really tell how well he's adjusting to the whole group.
Though I have to admit, I hope the fades ripping up everywhere is going to fix the whole forgetting problem and not have too many jokes of him being forgotten. I always considered those moments in the book when a character starts to forget really sad to be honest.
I really hope either the veil rips change Cole's nature or, even better, he learns how to control his abilities and is only invisible/forgotten when he wants to be. I think it would be really harmful for his development in the group dynamic if everyone, or at least most people, kept forgetting him.
Actually, towards the end of the book he kind of learns to control this, and people who he wants to remember him - do not forget. Even Lambert remembers him in the end.
I don't know if it is connected to the whole 'Veil rip' thing, but my assumption is that it's true.
I don't think they ever did get into Lamberts special sensing powers with Cole. He was able to tell Cole was there in the room where others didn't, did they ever mention why and I missed that in the book? Lambert remembering Cole was really odd.

I think he just assumed that, after what Rhys had told him about Cole and everything. Lambert was sure from the very beginning that Cole is some kind of demon who manipulates Rhys...

He didn't really tell Lambert about Cole, I'm pretty sure Rhys kept Cole to himself until he told Eva and the others later on. Lambert didn't have a clue about Cole (Aside from the I can sense you peeping in Evas room moment) until he was brought up with the conversation with Eva. Even then I think he saw it as a chance to manipulate Rhys to his will and convince him about the whole 'oh that's a demon' thing.
Maybe you're right and Lambert has some special power to 'sense' creatures of the Fade and magic, or maybe I should re-read Asunder because I don't really remember if he already knew about Cole the moment he sensed him...
Cole was also fearful of Lambert much more then the normal amount because of the sensing of him. Something 'dark' about him if I remember right. I sort of remember his description of Lambert being almost like the one about Wynnes eyes, though I may be remembering it wrong. I lent my book to a friend who was interested in why I was so thrilled and so sure the person in the trailer was Cole and who was he, so I don't have a reference to pull it up <_>
Lambert himself may be an abomination or possessed by a spirit, that also can explain why he is assumed "disappeared" rather than "dead". I'm pretty sure Cole killed him, but if he really is possessed, he might have survived.
I always assumed Lambert's ability to sense Cole had something to do with him being a Seeker. Templars have special abilities, so I'm hoping Seekers have some unique abilities that distinguish them from Templars.
i think it was more because
That was actually my point. But I think all other theories can be relevant too.

There's some fans that really want to be able to romance Cole, regardless of Gaider's protests about the matter. Just suggesting we keep the smutty stuff out of here, lest the Eye of Gaider's gaze turn upon us.

Oh, in this case... that's quite reasonable. I thought more of a general stuff regarding this character ![]()
Heh, I can say I was a bit surprised to see that Cole is really tall indeed) I always imagined him to be more of a medium height... maybe because of the fanarts, as well.
I wonder if there'll be a companion that isn't fond of Cole, or Cole doesn't like them, and he makes them forget and not see him. That could be interesting...

I somehow think that Cassandra and Vivienne won't actually like him, perhaps only in the beginning. But otherwise... I think Varric and Solas might like him ![]()
Could be interesting if the Inquisitor says or does something Cole disagrees with and he becomes invisible and makes them forget about him - for a time, at least.
He is certainly pro-mage (according to the book) but believes that some templars like Evangeline are good. This attitude suits me.
My hope is that Cole is now like the Cole Train BABY.
"QUEENY SHUT YO ****** ASS MOUTH COLE TRAIN UP IN THIS MUTHFUCKA"
I really want a Cole Train character in DA.
In the past I've been kind of masochistic about putting characters that don't get along together to see them bicker. I would feel bad if the other companions were being mean to Cole, though. I feel like I need to protect him and only take along characters that would be nice to him when he's in the party. ![]()
I wonder who will get along with him, though. I'd think probably not Cassandra and Vivienne, at the least. Varric gets along with most people. Solas might be interested in him. If DHMG is Dorian, he'd probably not have a problem with Cole.
