Where is the full image of that concept art?
It was in a video. A piece of paper was covering most of it. The part you see was all that was visible.

Can a demon do (or sincerely want to do) something good?
We already know benevolent spirits can do bad things.
How often have demons/spirits proven to be good?
Even Justice blew up Kirkwall.
Wynne's faith spirit seemed pretty good. That's basically 50/50, since we've literally only seen a full plot for 2 spirits so far.
Justice didn't blow up Kirkwall, though, just the one building. lol
So here is a question, does it really matter if Cole is a demon, if hes trying to do something good?
I have a feeling it's going to be like that quote from Hellboy "What makes a man a man? Is it his origins? The way he comes to life? It's the choices he makes. Not how he starts things, but how he decides to end them." If Justice can be corrupted into Vengeance by his and Anders actions then why shouldn't Cole, even if he started out as a 'demon' be able to change.

I don't know. So far this game has screwed me ober so many times that whenever something like this gets posted I ask myself "Bioware/this game wants me to hate it, right?"
Just remember the DA is inspired by Song of Ice and fire.
That is true, though I still consider that to be the demon Vengeance at that point
Which means they can go back a forth.
A YMIR SPECIAL
I like that! It makes him look kinda like Gollum, lol.
It certainly adds to the 'creepy' vibe Cole gives ![]()

Are you serious?

Well if a spirit can become corrupt and turn into a demon, then I'm assuming the opposite could happen
Exactly, we can call it a reverse Anders...
Are you serious?
Darkspawn=Whitewalkers.
Gray wardens=Nightswatch.
Looks a bit like Theon Greyjoy to me.
So Alfie Allen to voice Cole, semi confirmed?
Darkspawn=Whitewalkers.
In that case, ew.

Ser Pounce-a-Lot. = Ser Pounce.
Gray wardens=Nightswatch.
You can stop now.
It probably means Cole end up shanking Scribbles or something...
I don't think DA is based off Song of Ice and Fire. I'd never even heard of it back when DA:O came out. They both deal with pretty common fantasy tropes.
Bring up the concept art, I thought...
It will be a nice discussion, I thought...
Then Gaider posted.

Once you see you can't unsee.

I never thought so either. I mean, they could take some stuff as inspiration from it, but I can say the same about a hundred other fantasy stories.
DA is based off dozens of different fantasy series. I'm sure Song of Ice and Fire played a part, but so did Baldur's Gate (a much bigger part since DAO was touted as its spiritual successor) and the rest of DnD. No need to try and read into a=b, it won't hold up in the long run.
Especially since at this point in time we know almost nothing about the white walkers, so trying to compare anything to them is futile at best.

The first book of SoIF came out 2 years before BG1.
