It's honestly easier to pass the darkspawn off as LotR orcs than the whitewalkers. Fantasy stories just usually have very similar themes.
I use to think the same thing but if you take the concept that the Whitewalkers corrupt things by being you can deny the darkspawn are based off them. Orc's don't currpt things by being like darkspawn.

Yes, he does. He baths, eats and sleeps. But he has changes form the book so I don't know if it's the same case now.
I mostly just thought that line was weird since people assumed until now that Iron Bull is bisexual. I mean, I guess he might just assume Cole is straight.

Anyone who's read the book shouldn't even have needed DG to tell them. The book pretty much spells it out to the reader. He literally has no comprehension as to what sex is, it's stated clear as day in Asunder.

I go and have a nap for a few hours and suddenly there's mass hysteria and a interview posted. Gwad this is why I should not sleep during possible info dump mornings.
Anyways, I'm on the boat of surprised that Cole isn't being written by DG, but I suppose it makes sense since he set up the character and already wrote enough on him to get a good idea on how to progress further with him. I enjoyed the Masked Empire and can just see DG trusting PW with the handling of Cole and possibly long chats on certain things about said character when the game was in way earlier stages. It sounds like PW has a handle on understanding who Cole is, and that's a real good sign.
...Ohhh if it's not in the hands of DG then could Cole have developed enough in PWs hands to become an LI....? That's an interesting thought. I hope he isn't an LI but still because the writer is different Cole could have gone down a different path.
And it's wonderful news that Iron Bull would get along with Cole, mainly because I wanted those two as apart of my super tag team of main party awesome and it always made a bit of sense to me somehow. I even drew fanart of the people who I figured the most would be friendly to Cole ages ago;
But Sera and Viv not being fans of him? Pfff I wasn't too much of a fan of them anyways and didn't forsee them being all that gelling with my first Inquisitor. Of course there will always be companions that clash, that's perfectly fine, but I just don't want a repeat of the scorn that was going on in DAII so I'm going to keep them as far away from each other as possible.

I don't think DA is based off Song of Ice and Fire. I'd never even heard of it back when DA:O came out. They both deal with pretty common fantasy tropes.
Well, not based on ASoIaF, but certainly inspired by it. It was in fact talked about (and acknowledged) extensively by both fans and devs on the old forums leading up to DA:O's release. Their brand of dark fantasy in general and political scheming in particular isn't nearly as close to the books as they to me made it out to be (to me), but there's no denying it was an influence. In fact, all that forum talk is what got me to started reading the books a couple of years before the first news of its TVification to begin with and thus long before it became the hip mainstream thing to be an uncritical fan of "GoT".
