After watching the amazing new gameplay trailer, I started to assemble a rough timeline/collection of the scenes from the new trailer, the teaser and Discover Dragon Age vid. One thing I noticed is the scene where Cassandra breaks in and attacks the Wardens in the Fires From Above teaser is in the same sequence as the Inquisition soldiers attacking the Wardens in the new trailer. Also, when Cass is talking to the Inquisitor, that must be around the first hour into the game and where we meet Cass or it could be somewhere down into the story where she is reminiscing about how she first met the Inquisitor(From the looks of the Inquisitors armor, he looks like he has been the Inquisitor for some time so I'm guessing this is more likely), And one other thing is I bet that one scene at around 1:03 in the new trailer is where Cass first takes the Inquisitor after the Breach and we meet Leliana and who ever was standing near the fire. So what have you guys put together after the new trailer?

One way of looking at the Cass scene is that she starts to question your motives later in the game, similar to Wrex in ME1, maybe after a failure on a mission. Thats the only way wearing inquisition armor would make sense at that point, but regardless im betting and hoping its just because they used that character model as a place holder.

I think that's a pretty safe bet. Hawke was almost shown exclusively with the Champions armor set too, after all.

From the interviews that came out today (there was a whole bunch of them), it appears that its Cassandras idea to form the inquisition after she finds you. The tear in the vale follows some type of calamity that kills everyone involved in a peace summit between the Mages and the Chantry. The leaders of both the Mages and Chantry are dead, I assume that means the Divine is dead. The chantry will be busy arguing with who should be the next Divine instead of taking action, Orlais is in the middle of a civil war, and Ferelden is still recovering from the blight. Cassandra hear about the Chantry thinking about reforming an Inquisition so she takes the idea upon herself after meeting you and presumable learning about your unique ability to close the vale tears.

And that is how the game apparently starts off.

Maybe the inquisitor is a fade spirit and that the inquisitor is also a rift or brach in the fade too because of that green glowing fade magic the inquisitor have. and in the end he/she has to die or sacrifice himself/herself to ultimately save Thedas or something. I really hope that's not the case though

If she threatens you like that when you first meet, its understandable... but like cambria said what if we start making choices that benefit the people but severely hurt the inquisition down the road and that scene is kind of her crisis moment where she can leave...  or maybe its how she likes to get in the mood for romance

I doubt it, also you have toconsider the fact there is an actual post game this time where we have higher level content, are able to explore more area's that we didn't get to beforehand and possibly some post game dlc.

Anyway I think the antagonist used a similar spell to what the ancient tevinter magistrates used just on a much greater scale and knew that the sheer amount of death would rip open the veil and get rid of a chunk of the leaders that would normally oppose him while the others are tearing themselves apart as a result of what they did.

Somehow the inquisitor gets transported to the fade and apart of the rift gets embedded into his or her hand and then walks out of the fade with no memory of what happened in the fade.

As for the pieces, Cassandra appears and considers us a threat, while everyone is trying to figure out what to do we see a lot of things regarding all of the factions being preoccupied with their problems, infighting, splits, running around pointing fingers at other factions and nations etc.

At some point I guess we close a rift, the antagonist hears about the fact we've survived and been marked and that we now have the power to try to oppose he or she. Then they appear to us an kick us in the head, all of this amoug numerous other thing's is why we reform the inquisition due to a loophole, some soldiers, scouts, mages, and other people from various places and factions volunteer to join us, while some are following certain people.
